Is this tea gluten-free? I see oat straw listed as an ingredient.

I don't personally know the answer. However, that said, I did some internet digging and found two camps of thought. One is that oat straw may contain gluten if it was processed in a facility that also processes other gluten containing grains, like wheat, for example. The other thought is . . . It also contains minerals such as calcium, magnesium and iron and trace elements like silicon and potassium. It has been found to help with lowering cholesterol, increasing of vigor and stamina (it has been suggested to people recovering from long term illnesses as an aid to help rebuild their strength). The oat seeds carry antispasmodic, cardiac, diuretic, emollient, nervine and stimulant properties. The plant has also been shown to help with the exhaustion related to neurological pains, it is an herbal treatment for insomnia. A tincture has been used as a nerve stimulant when treating opium addiction and it is a popular remedy for anxiety and ADHD. It can help to combat problems such as obesity, varicose veins and irritations related to the digestive tract. It should not be used for too much acid in the stomach. There is also some evidence to suggest that the consumption of the oats helps to naturally lower the blood sugar levels. Uses: Taken as an extract the typical dosage of oat straw is around 2-3 tsp to 1 cup of boiling water and then leave it for 10-15 minutes before drinking. As an alcohol tincture the typical dosage is 15 - 20 drops each day. Cautions: There are no known drug or nutrient interaction associated with the use of oat straw but if you are allergic to oat flour it could be a good idea to stay clear of any products containing oat straw. Because oat straw contains gluten those suffering from celiac disease should avoid it in any form.

Im looking for the ingredient list and even the bag doesnt have it on it. What herbs are in this tea?

Decaff black tea, ginger root, fennel seed, nettle leaf, raspberry leaf, cinnamon chips, fenugreek leaf, cloves, cardamom, black peppercorns, chai spice blend. The chai spice blend ingredients aren’t listed but it’s typically cardamom, allspice, nutmeg, cinnamon, cloves, ginger. Hope that helps!
