It’s worth the money to be safe when walking.
This cane is very stable and has saved my butt several times from falling when I have lost my balance. I bought a second one so that I now have a spare cane if my first one ever breaks for some reason. This cane goes everywhere I go because it gives me security and confidence when I’m walking. I will be turning 76 years old in August so my legs don’t work like they used to and I depend on my cane. It stands up by itself so it’s always handy when I’m out shopping.

My favorite cane to lean on
This cane offers sturdy support while going up and down stairs and can be adjusted down to fit people 5 feet in height (wish it had one more notch for 4'11" people). Be sure to rotate the shank so the wider feet are positioned on the outside before locking the height in place. Also, remember not to leave it in the shopping cart. It's desirable enough to steal, even with your name and phone number taped onto the handle!

Takes getting used to…
I have fibromyalgia, and am in pain every day. I need help getting up from bed, the couch, the bathroom, and stairs. The base is sturdy, but does wobble some, it takes some getting used to. The height adjustment is good, and the grip is comfortable. It doesn’t fold up enough für traveling, so I’ll need to get a travel one as well. I would recommend it to someone who needs a little help, but not someone who’s totally dependent on a cane, as it does wobble. I wouldn’t suggest it für very elderly, or people with major balance issues. Good overall, meets my basic need, but will probably need an upgrade as my mobility decreases.

A very stable and easily adjustable cane.
This cane serves as a hand “rail” for a step up to a part of my garden that is somewhat sloped and where the ground is unsteady. I flattened the cane base into the soil and then hold onto the handle as I step up and back down. It’s not as slip-proof as a built- in step and handrail would be but if I’m careful, it does the trick. I think the cane might be a little heavy for walking because of the larger base, but then it wouldn’t be heavy enough to be as stable as I need it. I also love that it is so easy to adjust and has a nice range of heights.

Sturdy, Handy, Stabile, Stands on it’s own
A physical therapist recommended a quad cane, and there was one similar to this at the hospital. The short side goes toward the user, to help stop tripping. The wider side goes on the far side of the user, to give more balance. It takes practice, to get used to, to learn how to keep it away from the feet. The Cardiologist says it’s a tripping hazard, but so far, it’s the only cane that stands in its own on all surfaces. Hubby doesn’t do stairs with it though. It needs to be turned sideways for stairs. Not easy. And he needs it more for balance than support. He also only has 1 hand. So, with this he can let go of it.

Unstable base
The 4 point base is not study enough to trust, it should be bigger.

If I could have given this a 0 star I would have…this product is so poorly made and flimsy that my husband fell the first and only time he used it. It’s a good thing he didn’t seriously injure himself. I do NOT recommend this product at all.
