Nice smoothing product!
My hairdresser recommended Amika products for my hair, she had recommended the normcore shampoo and conditioner which I also got, but I saw this smoothing balm and decided to give it a try. I am glad I did, after 1 washing, I am pleased with the results on my hair. It was particularly humid which my hair just frizzes right up normally and I was pleasantly surprised that it did not! I tend to wash my hair at night and even after sleeping on it, it stayed pretty well styled as well. I will continue to use this product. Scent is not overpowering and it is nice. Not my favorite scent, but not bad by any means.

Helps my curly hair frizz!!
I have curly, fine hair and this does not weigh it down. Rather it helps calm my never ending frizz down. Humidity and wind are my nemesis! They still can get me, but I have a little longer before I look like my hair is crazy. It has a great feel and scent. I love their products

Top-quality hair treatment from a small company suffering from Product Separation Anxiety...
adult male here . . . Age: young enough to know that one gets what one pays for (or something like that); old enough to know when I'm being price-gouged.On a perpetual search for a leave-in conditioner featuring the strangely elusive cherry bark, I finally spotted this Velveteen stuff and saw that cherry bark is a main ingredient. Good. Let's buy it -- gtf OUT!! $26.00 for a measly 6.7 oz.?? Not wanting to devote a whole morning for an online hunt, I caved and am now using it. This is a very, very good conditioner, balm, whatever. Doesn't smell like the Nature's Gate product, but just as unique and pleasant. Most importantly, it absolutely leaves my hair touch-soft and static free and with little to no trace of build-up. Only, there is one issue about this stuff that really irks me and another lesser one: yep. $26- for just 6.7 ounces. Someone should inform Amika-- or its distributor -- that it's okay to pluck that first nickel out from between its collective buttocks. Like, the sky won't fall and passersby won't spontaneously combust...hint, HINT. Amika should either knock at least 20% off the sky-high price or, at minimum, double the amount of product if they're so attached to the $26 price tag. As good as it is, I refuse to pay so much for so little. And...a premium price for a premium product needs to make a visual impression. The current yellow plastic bottles with the ridiculous cap needs to be scrapped.Great product + stingy (as in: stin-gee, miserly, etc.) company + poorly designed presentation = "I can spend less than half and get three times the amount of a nearly-as-good competitor's conditioner."

Smells great!!
I love this balm! It’s great to use to calm your hair even after it’s dry and it smells great! I use on my hair damp and it’s nice and light. Hair has pretty flow after blow dry with round brush!

Great
I haven't use this more than a few times but so far so good. The scent is nice and light and works well with my very fine thin hair. I just use a small amount and it doesn't leave my hair weighed down at all.

Love this product
I recently tried this product, I love Amika products so I figured it would be good and I was right. I actually use this on dry hair, a little bit rubbed between your palms and evenly distributed throughout the hair really helps with flyaways and frizz. I use it on my part line too, it really helps with the little flyaways that I have. This doesn’t get greasy or have product buildup. Smells so good too. Worth every penny, if you’re on the fence JUST BUY IT! :)
