Beauty is PAIN
This is a beautiful cabinet. Despite the negative reviews I decided to order it. It was a pain to assemble. The particle board this unit is made out of is not great, by this I mean the pre drilled holes with plastic plugs pull out so easily. Two of the Cam’s (provided hardware) broke, there were no extras, I luckily found similar Cam’s at Home Depot. Once the frame was assembled I was not at all confident in the stability of the unit. This cabinet took two people to stand up because when I tried to do it alone two of the side boards fell off and ripped out the plastic inserts the screws screw into. I ended up using wood glue to put them back in. After the backing, which yes seamed flimsy, was put on the unit became more stable. The shelves added stability and even more stability once the doors were added. I have no fear of the cabinet falling apart now at final assembly, and as the photo shows I have it rather full. I was nervous to lift the unit to put it in place in my home, so I just slid it on the floor. Overall if you’re handy and expect a few hiccups, I think you will be satisfied with the final product, but this is not an easy assembly process for a novice.

Nice product for the money
This product is very nice for the money. I hesitated after reading some of the bad reviews, but I am very happy that I bought it. If you think you're going to get a superb piece of furniture for $200, you're just kidding yourself. But this is very nice for the cost. The look and color is great and it arrived with a couple of tiny scratches. As other reviewers have said, lots of styrofoam, so just get the vacuum out as you're pulling everything out of the boxes to minimize the mess. And to all the people who had trouble with assembly, they obviously just have no clue how to put things together. I agree with another reviewer, who said it's best to assemble the entire bottom half first, then work on the top. That's what I did and it worked just fine, never felt like it was going to fall apart or topple. It's now fully stocked and very sturdy. I haven't anchored it to the wall, although I think that's a good idea for anything this tall.

Looks great!
Love the product for the price. Packaged well to protect the product veneer BUT an hours worth of vacuuming required to clean up the styrofoam bits all over before assembling (and the styrofoam stuck into the tape on the trifolded taped backboards on the front facing side wouldn’t all scrape out of the tape! I called the company and suggested they bag the backing individually- while also ordering a replacement wheel for the door as one did not have an adjustment screw in it). Fairly easy to assemble by following the pictures but easier with two once you attach top to bottom as it becomes unstable until backing is applied and one person needed to hold it. AFTER we realized it SHOULD instruct you to put all the hardware on the doors before putting top and bottom together so they can be slid immediately into place and backing applied. Wasted time with one holding product steady and leaves one assembling all the door hardware. Once together and secured to wall looks neat and doors roll smoothly. Some have complained of wasted short shelf space but dvds and cds can also be stacked on those shelves and it still looks good.

Interior shelfs about 6" deep
This was a dream. We have a nice set of LEYK light-houses from our time in the service. Unfortunately these were always getting dusty in our open faced display stand and since we live in earthquake country so we used museum tack to keep them in place- which created more mess. The ordered display cabinet arrived in Alaska for about $28 - that is a fantastic deal for something this heavy (it is a two person carry) - extremely well packaged so that no glass was broken and not items were damaged. The cabinet went together very easily - just took a bit of time and while the kit comes with a small screwdriver I used mine. Note: for the back, I aligned the backing material and then drilled small pilot holes to get the screws in back set in place. It was refreshing not to have nails. The shelves are adjustable and the SLIDING glass doors worked like a charm (note: if you need to adjust the wheels allow for slight height adjustment. I took the time to add some small cabinet magnetic door catches to each sliding door - this closed the sliding doors nicely. Of note, we thought the outside dimensions would pretty much match the interior dimensions and that it was a opening cabinet. While the sliding glass doors are IMHO are superior, they do take up space - so the 10ish inch deep adjustable shelves we expected were only 6 inches deep but the adjustable fact allowed us to put taller items in the bottom of the display and smaller higher. Finally added some fairy lights to the display and viola - we were done!

Exactly what I was looking for to store my DVDs. Very elegant looking and keeps the DVDs dust free when the doors are kept closed. Easy to put together. Very sturdy once things are stored inside. Keep in mind that the top shelf is NOT tall enough to store DVDs upright however I was aware of this before buying.

Looks nice when fully assembled. Took about 3 hrs to put together.Fit and finish definitely not fine furniture grade but it's ok. Was exactly what I was looking for.

Tout était intact dans la boîte. Assez facile à monter, faut être très attentif au plan.

Do not purchase this item; the unit is absolute junk. It collapsed under its own weight before assembly was even complete. The particle board parts cannot accommodate the hardware, or the weight of the shelves. I spent this afternoon putting the thing together, step-by-step, following the instructions exactly. The shelf is particle board, held together by cam screws and collars (ie, Ikea-type hardware). Now, the assembly is super-easy, and the photo on the box is far more elegant than the actual product. It was drop-shipped from somewhere, and once dispatched, did arrive quickly. It comes packed in that horrible styrofoam - yeah, I know ‘nice’ polystyrene doesn't exist! - that leaves pea-sized white bits from one end of the house to the other, no matter where one does the building. Now I am screwed, because Amazon will only credit $3.99 toward return shipping. One of the reasons I bought this unit was the free delivery! I will send photos if anyone wishes. SRH
