Dymo Card Scan 60 Personal Business Card Scanner

I purchased this to scan cards; it doesn't hook up to any of the newer operating systems or even 'scan' cards - it never actually operated. I ended up just purchasing an app on my phone for a few dollars that completes this function and just eating the cost of the scanner.

I used to run Windows 7 32 bit and the cardscan software, but recently bought a new Windows 10 64 bit Dell. Cardscan/Corex Model 60 won't install, run, or work on the new Windows. Product obsolescence at its best. Run, don't walk away, from this product unless you have a lot of work to do on the out of date Windows releases. IThere are lots of apps on your phone which will do a similar job just as well as this useless scanner.

I own 3 from different sellers. I've used them for a year+ and have scanned thousands of business cards. I cleaned up 30+ years of business cards and refer to them frequently in cardscan. It is very easy to save a copy of a card and forward it to a co-worker.There are drawbacks however, such as being able to install on one system only and not being compatible with Win7 64 bit. I would like to be able to share easily with co-workers but haven't been able to find a low cost reader solution so far. Instead, we're looking at putting a couple on multiple computers that we share.I've only run cardscan personal on a Win7 32 bit OS. According to Dymo only their newer version hardware (62) and new software (version 9) are compatible with Win7 64 bit. That's probably why these are selling at low cost.

Will not work with Windows 10.

Amazon description says that it will work with Windows 7, but does NOT say that it will work with 32-bit systems only. There appears to be no support from Dymo on updating their software. I do not know if it will even work with Windows 7 even on a 32-bit system, but I have an old laptop which I am trying to revive in order to at least test the device.I realize that this is an older device which has been heavily discounted in order to get rid of them, but I still think the Amazon description should boldly state the limitations, in detail, of this device.And I probably will never buy another Dymo product. I use Brother for my label printing, and they at least keep their software relatively current.

This will work only on older operating systems. When I bought they never mentioned the systems that it worked on. I "assumed" it would work on my system. Piece of garbage now. I really hate wasting money so please don't waste your money.

Before purchasing this, check that the EULA has changed so it can be used one more than 1 PC. My company just purchased one for shared office use only to find that it registers your computer with the company so your co-workers must either use your computer to scan their business cards, or purchase their own license, which cost almost as much as the reader.
