Key Fob Replacement for 2008 2009 2010 2011 2012 2013 2014 2015 2016 Cadillac CTS Coupe DTS Remote, 4-Button OUC6000066, Programming Guide Included

My elderly mother really needed a new remote for her cadillac DTS. It was held together for a few years with a rubber band that eventually melted permantly to broken remote(that's how long she's needed a new remote!) Well another thing happened. Her entire key set got lost too. Either my oldest nephew who drives her vehicle misplaced it or my mother misplaced it. So next purchase is a blank key and off to Ace Hardware I go. Lol. So let's start with the remote since the remote came in first Google to the rescue! Noticed remote sellers using Amazon with me a prime member I checked reviews and purchased this remote. It only took less than 20 seconds for me to program.You have to have a working key and thank God my father never loses his keys. In fact if any of us grown children lose one of our vehicle keys we can always go to daddy because first thing he does is make a emergency spare key for all our vehicles. He even has key tags so we can easily find which key to what vehicle. So I put my dad's key to my mom's vehicle in the ignition and followed instructions. Easy Peasy. All buttons work. Even the keyless auto start. Which comes in handy during winter with fogged up windows. ***Our driver information Center buttons aren't located on steering wheel like written instructions says on company website. They are actually located to the left of steering wheel( once you are sitting behind wheel) Just thought I'd mention it in case anyone starts thinking they don't have a info center but look around dash that is surrounding the steering wheel and still in doubt the vehicle owner manual comes in handy. The rest of written instructions are accurate and correct though. I followed them precisely and less than 20 seconds all buttons were working. So yes this replace remote company is great. My mom is happy she has a new remote. Now just waiting for blank keys to arrive. Lol. She has been using her emergency spare key and hopefully doesn't lose it in the meantime. Lol

Thought it would be cheap made because of the price but it was solid and worked great after getting it programmed

I bought this for my Cadillac, as it is advertised to work. The professionals could not program it. This was never shown in the description or details. I'd give this a negative 5 star rating if I could.

Its a tough item to get right .. The locksmith charge to cut the key only. Then they want $250 to program the fob from the original. One can go on Youtube,com to learn how to train the new Fob for the doors but it will NOT work with out programming the new FOB. It will start and then quicky die cause the FOB is the vehicles security.

I purchased this to replace a broken fob for my Grandmother. She is elderly and the need for the fob to look comparable to her old key fob was an important consideration. It took moments to program and even came with the battery which saved me time and trouble. I appreciated that immensely. I would happily buy another if ever there was a need.
