Hi, I absolutely love these jars when I juice vegetable/fruit juice, I also use it to brew hot tea and let it sit for several hours but, the water should be medium hot not extremely hot, it will break the jar, it happened to me, I waited 20-30 minutes after the water boiled before putting it in the jar with tea bags then after 4 hours I put it in the fridge when it's cool enough to do so, I ordered more.

Hubby and i use these mugs for coffee and iced tea (we “freeze” the mugs for cold-brewed tea!), and we love them! We were using pint jars for coffee and iced tea, but the handles change everything!! And we can get a sip or two more in these jars than from the pint jars!!!
