Great for exhaust!
I had a catalytic converter cover that bent slightly and made contact with the cat, causing an embarrassing and alarming noise when accelerating from a stop. I used this with some high-heat RTV silicone to wedge between the cat and the shield and this eliminated that noise completely. It was making direct contact with the cat and never once caused an issue or raised concern over the remaining 2 years that I owned the car.Plus, this isn't made from ceramic fibers! Some studies had been done suggesting the potential for ceramic fibers to affect people the same way asbestos fibers do. I wanted to avoid ceramic fibers for this exact reason and this fit the bill for my needs to a "T."

Great product. Used on my Comfort Bilt pellet stove. Seems to withstand the heat.

Awesome. Saved me over $30
The draft fan to chimney gasket on my Avalon pellet stove failed. I was "upset" when the dealer said 2 weeks and $45. MN just legalized THC and he must partake. I chanced it and ordered this up. So happy, it was just like the old material. In under 5 minutes I had a perfect copy of the gasket and was putting my stove back together. Works perfect and should last a few years (I have to take this junction apart 2x a year for chimney cleaning). I'll be happy to buy it again when needed, there is enough room to make 2 of the gaskets I needed this time. If I need to make a draft fan motor gasket I would get one, but that is $52 and a wait again.

Did not withstand high temperatures.
I used it around my kiln door at 650C / 1202F and the paper just deteriorated. It flaked off. I don't know how they say it can withstand 2100 F ? Maybe good for lower temps but not my application.
