It's Worth the Smell!
I am a 50-something-year-old woman who saw a Tiktok about a woman who used shaving powder for her legs and she raved about it. I'd never heard of shaving powder for men and immediately ordered it. I have difficulty bending and shaving my legs had become almost impossible but I'm not so old that I'm ready to live with hairy legs either. I had doubts about this product though. Nair has never worked on me at all. Not even a little so I was skeptical about shaving powder. I also have very sensitive skin so I worried about it burning or causing skin irritation. I mixed it up and used a hair dye brush to paint it on my legs and busied myself getting ready for a shower while I waited. I have to say, the smell is just awful. I mean really bad. It smelled like Nair when it first came out when I was a kid before they tried to camouflage the smell with a perfumey scent. But it was totally worth it. I got in the shower after 7 minutes and used a body brush and the shower to get it all off. Later, I felt my legs and couldn't believe how perfectly smooth and soft they were! Every single hair was gone, my skin was so soft, and it never burned at all or caused any skin irritation. I heard angels singing! So next time I tried it on the fuzz women get on their faces due to hormones. Yep, worked perfectly there too. After all, it is for men's beards. But the best part was that I did it 2 months ago and my legs are still smooth and hair-free! 2 months! This is an amazing product that is half the cost of Nair (which doesn't work) and the results last forever...at least on me. Why wouldn't you want to buy this product?

Works like magic!
For context, I've always been someone with skin that isn't particularly sensitive... except when it comes to shaving. Prone to ingrown hairs, constantly having issues with acne -- you name it, I've struggled with it. Saw this product in passing and figured I'd give it a try, because if it's meant for the face then it should work there, right? The Good: THIS STUFF WORKS!! Amazingly well. Super easy, no feeling of burning/tingling/heat; easy to get the ratio right (1:1 powder to water); easy to apply (no need for gloves, just wash after); IT DOESN'T BREAK ME OUT! No ingrown hairs, no acne, nothing! The Bad: ... this stuff REEKS to high hell -- not to say "this is obvious," but it does contain a sulfur compound so it's going to smell like rotten eggs. And because you're applying it to your body, it's going to be close to your nose and you're going to smell it. Luckily, the smell does go away after wiping and rinsing the product off, just keep it gentle with the soap after (baby wash or gentle Cetaphil was okay on my skin, it doesn't cause any irritation while making sure all the product was gone) and stick to an unscented, light lotion.

Very effective but smells so bad
The extra strength is very effective on my body hair. I am an AfroLatino man and my hair texture is moderately coarse. I have mixed feelings about this product. It really does do a great job at removing hair. I used it on my thighs, butt, balls and lower legs. I mixed it and left it on for a minimum of 7 minutes and honestly, I’d say 90% of my body hair was gone and I was very smooth. Remember to wipe away with a wash cloth. I found this to be most effective. I do recommend against leaving it on your balls for greater than 4 minutes. It started to burn my balls by the 5 minute mark but it didn’t burn or irritate my skin anywhere else. The worst thing about this product is the smell. It creates a very strong odd chemical-like smell. I even opened the window when I applied it and it still created a strong smell that permeated throughout my apartment. The smell lingers in the apartment for at least 2 days. The smell isn’t a pleasant one either. Because of that I hate using the product. But I’ll continue to use it since it does a good job at hair removal. Maybe they can modify the fragrance without compromising the strength??

It works... but by God, the smell..
I'm the unlucky one. You know, that girl with skin so white it's transparent AND has the thick, dark black leg and arm hair. Yeah, I pretty much have pubes for leg hair. I'm sick of shaving. I go through razors like candy and since my hair is thick, I can't just grab the cheapo ones. I heard the rave reviews, and the smell warning, but since I was sure I'd killed my sense of smell between accidentally mixing mustard gas to mop floors & getting the coof twice, I figured I wouldn't smell it. Man was I wrong. Firstly, The water to powder ratio is off, especially if you're trying to do more than a test patch, you'll want a smooth, thick, spreadable but not watery texture. If you are able to supply it without getting it everywhere, you gotta keep it moist and not too thick or thin. The smell is horrid, some have said it's like rotten eggs or sulfur, no. It is way worse. The stench lingered and permeated my entire house, with the bathroom door closed. And to remove it, for the love of God, use the back of a butter knife or spoon edge and drop the roll of caked mud into something you can throw away issue of your house. Screw the wash cloth, it'll cake it up quick, keep the smell through 2 washes and you don't want that thick mixture going in your drains. And after you DO get it off, you'll rinse it 5 times, still smell it AND have a film of white powder... until you scrub it. Rinsing won't work, soap won't work, you gotta soap and loofah or rough washcloth the area GENTLY! IF you go too rough, you're gonna have a burning sensation for days only in the places you scrubbed. It works. It absolutely works. It works for the coarsest thickest hair. It doesn't stubble for at least 3 days. But, for the love of all that is holy, do not let the mixture stay in your house - in a trash bin, on a rag, in your drains. Just scrape and toss in the dumpster or trash bin outside. Use only when absolutely desperate. Nair takes longer on my hair, but, I'll take that smell over this every day.

Wow.
So I got this stuff because I'd seen it on TikTok and girls were swearing by it. I thought, "Yeah, right. If NAIR doesn't work on me, this powder/paste crap isn't going to either." BUT, it was pretty cheap, so I figured, why not try it? HOLY. COW. I haven't shaved my legs for a good six months - thanks winter and COVID! Mixed this stuff up, spread it on my legs with a spatula, waited 20 minutes (the directions call for 5-7 minutes, but I got distracted...) and wiped it off with a dish rag in my tub. My legs are SMOOTH! I thought this stuff would be worth it if it just thinned out my leg hair, but DAMN. This stuff got rid of it ALL! As I said before, I've tried Nair and immediately had to wash it off as it burned my skin so bad! This stuff doesn't feel like anything when it is on - no burning, no itching - NOTHING. The smell is a little bit like that silver cleaning solution - kind of an old egg smell. But, it isn't super strong to me. HOWEVER, I am a nurse, so I have had to smell way worse stuff than this. If you are really sensitive to smells, this will not be great for you. I feel like the container would only be good for, maybe, two applications if you are applying to your legs. I did both my lower legs and armpits and used about half the powder. I just applied today, so I'll update in a week or two to tell you all how long it took for my hair to grow back! Overall, this stuff is a game changer for us girls that don't like to shave every other freaking day!

Not Worth the Risk
I tried this as it seemed like an interesting alternative to shaving and seemed to be pitched as a nair alternative (though I’ve never used nair on my face). I am a 33 year old man & I used the Men’s Extra Strength on my beard. I did a test patch and it was great but I did have a hard time getting the product to the right consistency. Always seemed runny. Anyway followed the instructions and though it smells AWFUL- pure sulfur smell- I was excited to see if it worked. Didn’t feel any burning except a little irritation around my lips but that seemed within the realm of normal. Started to take the product off and it was incredible difficult to do so (more than say a nair on your legs). The moment I started to take the product off, it began to BURN. I’ve never gone from 0-60 so fast in my life. I was rushing to wipe this away and had to scrub at certain areas. It left FULL patches of hair for seemingly no reason and it says you shouldn’t use a razor after. But we are talking our faces here so am I supposed to just go around with patches of cm long hair? I had a few pimples I didn’t know about in my beard and they were bleeding profusely. It’s now been about 24 hours. My skin never turned red as a whole but the few pimples look like volcanos and my face still feels like it’s on fire. Any moisturizer I put on gives me a Kevin after shave Home Alone moment x100. It feels like a horrible sunburn and in the parts where my skin was clear it looks normal but still feels awful. I’m worried about having any contact with the sun until this feeling subsides. Also dispute burning candles, fans, central air, open windows, and cooking several meals, our house still reeks of sulfur. I’ve never had such a disappointing experience in my life. It sounds like it works great for other people but if the test patch can’t be an accurate indicator, I personally don’t think it’s worth the risk.

Left my frank and beans smooth and soft..
Holy smokes, where has this been? I knew about shaving powder from the Ohio Players funky worm song but I never tried it, even as a Gen Z member. The brothers have been keeping this gem hidden, on god! The ratio of mixing is important, not too runny that it runs down your skin but not too thick that it dries or cakes up. A thick pancake batter consistency is best. Just apply it on and make sure to cover the hairs completely if doing the pubic area. Set a timer, and after 5 minutes it should be good. Use a washcloth or sock you don’t need anymore and gently wipe off. It did not burn or sting or feel minty like other chemical hair removers. It does smell but it’s no worse than a fresh perm or a nasty fart after eating eggs. Guys with hairy backs, let your partner or friend try this if you don’t want waxing.

This Stuff WORKS…for me
I’m a gay black hairy man that grew up with no dad and, who didn’t ask to be born this way. So when I started growing hair all over and wanted to be a smooth queen I was very frustrated. I’ve used all types of razors and shaving cream for my face but everthing would leave the worse kind of razor bumbs. Fast forward to last year my moms new boyfriend heard my stuggles and got me some of this powder stuff. When I first started using it, it was very smelly and such a mess to clean up. But guess what y’all my face was a smooth and little to no razor bumbs the more I started to use it. This works for the black men or women with corse beard hair. And the people that are irritated with the razor bumbs. 10/10 would recommend
