Elegant and enjoyable speakers
Had these for a god while. I wouldn't call these small. But they are elegant looking for floor standers while being confidently heavy. Whether you benefit from these will depend on what speakers you previously owned. I had Wharfdale 9 series bookshelf speakers, so the lift in audio clarity was noticeable. But not as incredible as you might think, if you keep an amp that doesn't have a bit of power. I still use an old Arcam Solo, so the benefits for me are okay but not as immense as if I had more modern separates complimenting the jump in cost of these lovely speakers from my trusty Wharfedales now with a DM41. But none of these notes to the buyer detracts from what will be a very capable and enjoyable pair of speakers if you have good separates, or upgrade your amp to help the speakers sparkle. They will then show their true value, which is probably well above the asking price. No complaints, they're excellent - I'm saying don't think you just buy these and that's that. They'll only be as special as some buyers say, when matched with a reasonably good set-up and a touch of room treatment. But if these will be your first floor standers, and you are demanding of things you buy, they won't disappoint your critical ears.

Recommended - especially for smaller or awkwardly shaped rooms
I have now had these speakers long enough to give a full review. They replaced a pair of Castle Conway's, which were nearly 25 years old, and had never given anything but good service being a high end offering at the time of original purchase. I wanted to see if the technology had advanced the reproduction in 25 years. The performance of the Dali's was not remarkable different from the Castle's despite there age which showed their original quality. The Dali's had a slightly clearer top end and the bass extension was lower, but only marginally so. Overall they give an extremely satisfying performance. However there is one aspect in which they stand out notably. This is in their remarkable wide distribution of sound which extend to at least 180 degrees with clarity. In this respect they exceed the Castle speakers completely as they were more directional. As a consequence of the Dali's non directional sound and modest size they are extremely suited to a smaller room or one where the placing of the speakers may not be idea as the sound will fill the whole area wonderfully.

Glorious, stunning, floor standers at under a grand
Now nearly run in I continue to be amazed at the musicality of these speakers. Does not matter what genre of music you send them they acquit themselves so well you forget they are there – it is all about the music after all. My source is a Marantz CD player feeding a Rega Brio amp and then via good old fashioned 79 strand to these wonderful Dali speakers. The “soundstage” is wide and three dimensional and the speakers keep bringing out new elements of album tracks that I had previously missed. Play them loud or quiet and they seem to adjust; filling the room with music. Worth saying that they are also very handsome and complement the room without being intrusive. They seem very unfussy about positioning, delivering a strong bass line and remarkably detailed upper frequencies. I have nothing negative to say as they have met and exceeded my expectations.

These compact floor standers punch well above their size!
After weeks of research I bought these to replace my Celestion F2s that were over 25 years old! I've had them around 2 months and I have to say that I am impressed by their performance, they have enough bass without overshadowing the mid and highs and there's plenty of detail. I have them paired with an Audiolab 6000 and they make a good match. I would highly recommend.

Great speakers
I had purchased these speakers to replace my q acoustics 3050s. Having read review after review I decided to give them a whirl. The first thing I noticed was that they are smaller than the 3050s which is a bonus as they don't take up as much room. I have them wired up to my Rega Elax R amp and Clearaudio Concept turntable. I was worried that these wouldn't deliver as much bass as the 3050s, but how wrong was I? I have had these run in for about 10 hours or so, which I feel is ample time. Without boring you with too much detail, these speakers are superb. You may have to tinker around with the positioning. I have them pointing straight out opposed to toe in. These are great speakers and happy with the purchase

Very good Floor Standers for the money
I bought these to replace a pair of Dali Zensor 1s and am very pleased with them. I expected to see a significant improvement given the price difference but right from the start, even before "running in", they sounded great. I have now had them for a month. They are the front pair of my 5.1 system for TV & movies but my main reason for upgrading was for listening to music in stereo, mostly on Amazon Music HD streamed via a Bluesound Node 2i and a Denon Receiver/Amp.
