How loose is the buckwheat cushion the way it comes? I want something as firm as the kapok

Kapok is a fiber and Buckwheat hulls are like grain. Kapok is firm because it is densely packed into the cushion. Buckwheat is firm because it is hard shells in the cushion. One way to think about Buckwheat Hulls is to think about going to the beach, making a pile out of soft, dry sand, and then sitting on it. It feels hard, but it easily conforms to the shape of your bottom. Buckwheat Hulls more easily conform to your shape and are comfortable because they are pressing into you anywhere. Both kapok and buckwheat hulls are supportive. Kapok will flatten out over time as the fibers become compressed and the fabric of the cushion stretches. Buckwheat Hulls do not flatten, but the fabric of the cushion will still stretch over time. Hopefully your question has been answered somewhere in there. Unfortunately, the only way you are going to know how well it works for you is to find a friend or someplace local to try a buckwheat hull cushion or purchase a buckwheat hull cushion.
