200 Clear Drinking Straws - 100% Compostable Plant Based PLA - Eco-Friendly and Biodegradable Alternative to Plastic Straws

I couldn't believe how durable and sturdy this straw is. My son is a straw chewer and we use a different brand of compostable straws. I just assumed that most of the plant based straws were a bit flimsy. I was surprised that these are really strong and have a nice width. I even doubted that they were compostable until i put one of them into a glass of hot water and it started to bend rather quickly...an indicator that it will break down into compost. I would definitely buy these again! Much more durable than paper straws!

I am very satisfied with these straws. I like that they are compostable, I am new to composting and have yet to find out how long they take to fully compost. Note, these do not work for stirring hot drinks! Cold only. I typically use metal straws for my large 30oz water cup, but those straws don't work for some of my other drinks. I haven't had much luck with paper ones and love these are better for the environment than plastic but work just as well! Highly recommend.

I would have never known that these straws were plant-based if it wasn't stated in the description. They are thick, durable, and respond just as a normal plastic straw would. My only gripe is that the hole is rather large. I use these for my children and it doesn't always fit their cups. So, if you are looking for a thinner straw, then these are not for you. With that said, I think it was a good deal and I am quite pleased with my purchase.

Quick update - This is the second time I've ordered these straws and while I still love them, I definitely have some packaging feedback. The actual product comes in a lightweight cardboard type box. However, there is no sticker to seal the lid shut. Since the straws aren't individually wrapped, this allows the straws to be exposed to dust and the outer packaging they are shipped in. I didn't really think much about it the first time, but with COVID-19 being such a concern, it would be nice if I knew for sure my straws hadn't been touched or exposed to other elements/potential contaminants. Both times, the lid to my straw box was open/ajar when it was received.Love these straws! 7mm is a perfect size! Other 5mm straws just don't cut it. There is absolutely no taste and they don't dissolve like the horrible paper straws. Already want to purchase more but they are currently unavailable. Would love to see this in a larger quantity as well.

Arrived on a Wednesday and by Friday they were all in the garbage. Let me be clear: excellent straws. Decent value for 200. But the box they were in was already damaged when they arrived and every. single. straw fell right out and onto the floor. So in the garbage they went :( Will have to order more, but even though the price is not terribly high, I'm not thrilled to spend the money again so soon.

Got these straws because I do need to use straws due to medical issue and I'm trying to find something that's better for the environment as best as I can (I cannot use metal or silicone).The straws are decent. They are clear, no paper wrapper per straw, and there is no flavor or weird taste to them. My only and biggest concern is how easily they split and crack when they are slightly bent. Even if I bend it on accident, it'll create a hole in the straw. They are still usable, I just need to be extra careful to not crack them.

I was very impressed with these straws. I have issues with my teeth being so sensitive that I have to drink through a straw. I didn’t want to keep using plastic straws due to the environmental impact. I use one straw in ice water over multiple days, just a good rinse and keep going. There is no flavor to speak of. They will melt if exposed to hot water so be careful putting into hot drinks. No complaints here!

These beat the pulp outta paper straws! They're so much more durable, and I can leave them in a smoothie for half an hour and not end up drinking my straw. Only complaint is that a few of them have melted slightly in the heat, but I live in Texas so that's to be expected when even your shoes melt on the pavement. Good price, no weird taste and durable!
