Q: Can I use this with the sennheiser 350 special eddition?

I don't know what David Robertson is talking about but I've been using my Sennheiser PC 350 SE headphones with my mixamp pro off and on for years i just have to turn up the volume more with it is all.

Q: Is there a way to mute my mic? I'm thinking of matching this mixamp with Audio Technica's ATHADG1 which requires you to hold the mute button closed.

I actually have the ATHADG1 along with the mixamp. I can confirm that pressing the mute button on the mic itself will mute your mic channel, but there is nothing on the mixamp itself that will mute it.

Q: what does it come with and does the new mixamps come in a the box with the cables?

The one I received was in New condition with all wires but non astro marked box.
