Titan 16018 Quick Release Extension Bit Holder, 18-Inch

I really liked the design of this tool. The bit holder held the bit in place securely. The extension rod was protected by an outer tube which allowed me to hold the extension holder while turning the extension rod on the inside. I was impressed by the attention to details of this extension bit holder.

Works great, perfect size

Have to replace a large section of deck boards and i am getting much too old to get down on my hands and knees to back out all the screws. I bought this extension - and so far NOT ONCE have I had to get down on all fours! It holds the bit perfectly and i have virtually ZERO wobble. A huge win!!!

The tool itself worked good. I have some very thick timbers to go through to run electrical wire. Love the quick release. Held up very well; allowed a nice straight hole to be drilled. Only problem was, the size of the quick-release knob is fairly wide. So if you plan to drill a hole under about 5/8" wide, the quick-release knob will stop you, rendering the tool pointless for deep drilling (deeper than the drill bit length).

I honestly didn't expect much with this; I thought I'd give it a try, but assumed it would be flimsy. It isn't. At all. It's beefy and works as advertised. The only problem I had was that the quick release collar was stuck when I got the unit. I tapped it on concrete and it released and never had the problem again.

I had high hopes for this product when I ordered it, and it was not disappointed. I bought it to use so I wouldn’t have to bend over so far when using my scrubbing attachment. Instead I used it to help dig holes in my backyard without having to bend over over so far. Attached easily and securely to my drill. I know I will be using this a lot. Great value for the money.

Does the job, but has some issues. Its a strong and solid rod, but the tip is really thick and big. Its hard to fit in tight spaces where screws are deep. For one job I had to get a different bit that was the same thickness from end to end.

I've never heard of the Titan brand before, so I didn't expect much of this item. I am sort of speechless by the quality of the build. Bear in mind this is a rather simple construction but they've got everything right. The top bit holder magnet is stronger than my Picquic. What seems to be a ball bearing lock works smoothly. And the black part you see, it's actually a free spin sleeve. The only thing I am worried about is dirt getting under said sleeve. But even then, you'd only have to undo the retaining ring and clean it. /// Je n'ai jamais entendu parler de cette compagnie auparavant, alors les attentes n'étaient pas trop élevés. For the everyday person it's good to have for the odd times you need it. I wouldn't want to rely on it for professional use though.. The magnetic lock and keyless bit change tip is nice to have, but it doesn't lock tight. The bit will wobble and if you have to reach for where you're drilling or screwing/unscrewing with one extended arm, you might have a difficult time. I needed this for a shallower angle when drilling, not for reach. I was able to hold onto the shaft to help stabilize it while drilling. Speaking of which, the sleeve around the shaft is a great feature. You can hold it while the shaft spins inside.
