Doesn't Measure Up
I had high hopes for this speaker with the intention of using it outdoors as the sound source for a projection system, and indoors to improve the sound of a flat panel TV.Although I found that of the several input options it offered, they were more centered around connection to mobile devices. I discovered that many devices rely on digital output and on my TV, that was the only output option. So without adding a receiver my TV hookup plans were dashed.Another restriction that surprised me was that it is designed to be used vertically. It does this with a thin, poorly attached plate to widen the base. I never got to the point of attaching the base plate with the four supplied tiny screws, but it seems it could be too easily knocked over. It's not top heavy, but it would be nice if more weight was toward the bottom to improve stability.Construction was lacking. The fabric speaker covers looked misshapen and not remove able or stretched on frames. So an errant bump might leave you with a unit that looked more like a cheap toy than a $100 speaker. Think of a stylish B&O design executed by a grade school shop class. The final straw some might consider an advantage. The bass was deep and strong for a speaker that looked like it couldn't fit more than a 4" driver. The problem is, when it sounds to overbearing, there are no tone controls to adjust it lower. For a powered unit that can put out decent volume, there should be a wat to adjust the tone depending on how loud the volume is set.If you use it with a TV, it is not very useful when the speaker is a yard tall and you have to put it to one side or the other. In an age of soundbars that can emulate 5.1 audio. A 2.1 systems that has to be set off to one side is a stretch to even call it stereo sound. So unless you have a planned use where your limited to a small footprint and your sound source is not permanent, or you still rely on FM radio as your music source, I'd think twice about this unit.Mine's going back. If I had seen it at a brick and mortar store in person, I never would have given it a second look.

Really like it, BUT the remote is a pain
After a couple of days of use, I still have to say I really like this tower speaker, but the one real weakness is its remote. It's one of those tiny remotes, smaller in size than a credit card (though slightly thicker) and it's pretty unresponsive. The buttons are not clearly labeled and you have to press repeatedly to get the unit to respond. I can see how this is going to drive me crazy in the weeks ahead. Wish the company would offer a better remote that once could purchase an upgrade or something. For the upsides: The sound is great; BT pairs effortlessly; really like the clock on the front and the charging station. The FM seems to work pretty well too (except for me, unfortunately, the ONE station I bought this to listen to is weak.) Wish you could add a supplemental antenna as well, the built in doesn't seem to help much. I may be able to get a longer cable to splice into it or something.Regardless, I still really like this unit. It's pretty clear and loud without distortion and mostly I plan to listen to streaming Bluetooth audio which I can control with my phone or laptop, so that will cut down on the aggravation with the remote. I'd probably buy this again given the chance.

Less Than $100, It Will Constantly Remind You
The real question with this Pyle Bluetooth Sound Tower Speaker System is how much do you expect for under $100.First of all, it's not a "system". It's a single unit, with the single tower doing its best to throw the sound out in stereo. I use it in a medium-sized bedroom, and it does an adequate job providing stereo sound.Second, as far as volume goes, don't expect much. If you need to rock the room, look elsewhere. The Pyle is good for moderate sound levels, and below. Sound quality, again, is good, but you won't forget that you spend less than $100 on the "system".Three, the EQ options are very limited. You better like one of the presets, or hope that the device you're playing from has that capability.Four, the remote is incredibly flimsy and cheap. Again, every time you pick it up, you'll be reminded that you are cheap (like me).Five, the Bluetooth worked reliably. I didn't use any other input options, as I only stream Spotify in my bedroom. So, you get what you pay for, and for less than $100 you get pretty good sound, decent volume, and constant reminders of its price. If you accept that going in, then you will not be disappointed, as it's good for the price. If you expect miracles, you will not be satisfied.

Great buy but shipping big items back is always a ...
The first one we purchased didn't work and was a vday gift so that was a bummer but I received my replacement before I even mailed the original back. It fits in our life as if it's always be there, especially with home electronics not having clocks anymore these days. Now we can clearly see the time in the living room amongst other luxuries. Great buy but shipping big items back is always a inconvenience thus 4 starts verses 5, not to mention we've only had the replacement for 3 day so praying it'll hold up :)

Works good for what i need it for
Works good for what i need it for, no it won't rattle the windows but it has a good clear sound. I use it in my garage, it is portable enough to move from my man cave to the main area of the garage when i need to work on the car. The blue tooth was easy to set up and the aux jack and usb port on top was exactly what i was looking for. Keep in mind this is not the type of product meant to rattle the windows, it's loud enough because i like to be able to have conversation while playing darts and I don't want to attract any thugs walking down the ally with a premium sounding stereo blaring through the walls.

2nd Time's A Charm
This is actually the second one of these I bought. I would've given it lower stars if I was writing about my first experience with it, because all of a sudden my first one stopped working for no reason. However, I ordered another one because I like the sound so much, and I still use it every day. #love it
