Is everyone aware that Amazon will charge you for these cards even when they don't send them and you don't receive them?

The biggest issue that people are having is getting the card but the card not being activated when they receive it. But, most of the people that have purchased this product or will purchase the card need to know what they are looking for when they open the box (an activation slip in the form of a receipt which tells you it was activated). Then you have to go to the website on the back of the card and register, setup pin and check balance. It's not like Amazon is going to leave you in the wind if you don't receive your product or you receive a card that's not activated.

It says in the Cardholder Agreement and Consumer Disclosures: The Card may not be used outside of the United States and District of Columbia including Internet and mail or telephone order merchants outside of the United States and District of Columbia.

Hi. When we use Amazon to buy gift cards for other countries we always buy it in the currency of THAT country and pay for it in our OWN currency. So, the last one we bought was a $US25 voucher (that cost us $32 Australian) so our niece received the $US25 card in the currency she knows and does not have to worry about working out exchange rates and what she can spend when she is ordering. Amazon enables you to do this.
