Godinger Ceramic Double Warmer Chafing Dish with Serving Stand

I ordered the double warmer chafing dish and two of the singles. When they arrived (in perfect condition), I was concerned that they may not be large enough. But they were the perfect size for a dinner party for twelve. The food can be 'mounded' into the serving dish because the lids are domed. The food remained at a nice serving/eating temperature. And they looked so pretty on the buffet. They clean up easily too. I love them! I am very pleased with them in every way.

Very elegant. I used them for Thanksgiving dinner for smash potatoes and sweet potatoes. Kept the potatoes warm the entire dinner time. I recommend this product. I expected a larger size but they are a little deep, so it works perfectly. I received item within 2 days.

Specifically purchased this item for my Thanksgiving dinner. Opened the Box Thanksgiving morning the product was absolutly beautiful. Put my mash potatoes in one side my stuffing in the other, lite the tea lights and was very happy with my dinner table.. During dinner we heard a huge snap and looked and the side containing the stuffing as cracked in half. I was seriously imbarrassed and dissapointed. I would not recommend this item unless it's for cold foods only.

This is absolutely gorgeous, great quality. It arrived quickly and in great condition. The reason I'm giving it a 4 star rating instead of 5 is because it is much smaller that it looked in the picture - the photo is a bit misleading. Because of the image, I thought the measures were for each bowl, not the whole piece. The bowls are kind of square and they are deep, good for something like mashed potato or pulled meat. This is stylish and perfect for a very small, intimate party. I'm going to order other (bigger) pieces for my party but I won't return this - the beautiful bowls can be used separately for many purposes, including serving dinner dishes for 4.

I just ordered the double chafing dish for Christmas. It came packed very well with bubble wrap, paper and double boxed.I was so disappointed to find one chafing dish cracked.I should of listened to the other reviews that said they had theirs come damaged, but I thought I would just try it.I'm thinking it may be the UPS's fault, they throw packages around without care.Then again, I'm thinking if the company could list on the box, "VERY FRAGILE, GLASSWARE" on the package maybe UPS would pay more attention.If not find another carrier. There is too many complaints for damaged chafing dishes.I don't know what I will do with my one chafing dish that is broken. Maybe glue with DAP? or send back.???January 7, 2013 I decided to glue the dish with DAP. It worked great and can take high heat. Since I got no response from the company I went on line for a product that glues china and this was recommended. It also said it is safe for aquariums and that sold me.My husband said he thinks it was the company's packaging inside the boxes that caused the breakage. The dishes moved a bit when we opened the second box and needed more wrapping around them.

I ordered 2 sets for a party and paid for overnight delivery. When UPS delivered the package, I could hear what sounded like broken pottery and when I opened the box there were little shards of pottery in the outer box. It turns out they were shipped without any bubble wrap or popcorn. Just stuck in box and sent by UPS. One set was totally broken and the other set was fine. Though they are attractive, they were much smaller than I was expecting and not very usefull for a party. Each was only approx. 6 in x 6 in and would hold maybe a quart. Don't buy these, you will be dissapointed.

Great when company comes and you want to keep food warm so they can help themselves. All you need is a small votive candle underneath. It made the holidays a lot easier. They are also very affordable.

They were a little smaller than I had anticipated, but they were in excellent condition. They are perfect for what I need. Thank u for ensuring they were packaged well enough so they were not broken. I would definitely order more!
