I was genuinely impressed—this performs better than my previous Mach 5 razors, and at a significantly lower price point.The lubricating strip with vitamin E is a nice touch, and the anti-clog design makes rinsing between strokes quick and easy. I also appreciate the built-in beard trimmer for more precise detailing.I don’t usually leave reviews, but I had to for this one. Why pay over twice as much for a name brand when Amazon Basics offers equal (if not better) performance and quality? These razors are a fantastic value, and I highly recommend them. No photo needed—just trust that the shave is perfect!

I shave my head and face 3 x per week. I typically use Gilette blades and get around 6 weeks out of a blade before it starts to 'drag' across my scalp. The first few weeks the shave is almost frictionless, very smooth and comfortable. But the price for refill blades 'feels' high. Honestly for the amount of usage I get per blade, it's not- but I was still interested in alternatives.I tried buying some blades from a subscription service a while back. Those blades could have been in a Stephen King novel- they had a taste for human flesh...After being scared back to name brand blades for a few years, I recently picked up some off brand look-alike replacement blades that were being sold on Amazon. Came in packaging that looked very similar to the real deal, had a very similar look but were obviously made over seas and packaged to be direct replacements for half the price. Those blades dragged across my scalp like I was trying to shave with a pine cone. The blades were not jagged, they were just DULL. Apparently they were so bad that by the time I tried to review them, they no longer existed as something that could be reviewed. *They are still being sold, just not the specific set that I purchased. Be aware.I decided to just bite the bullet and purchase the ones I felt were overpriced but perform very well. Saw that Amazon has their own brand. I've purchased a lot of Amazon Basic items over the years, and figured I'd give them a shot.They actually solve a problem I didn't really have. They cost about half price from the name brand, and they shave really well. They are not as sharp and smooth as the name brand razors, I don't want to sell them as that- but they feel good, and have minimal skin drag. I do not think I'll get 6 weeks out of each blade, but I'm confident that I can get at least a month.For comfort I rate them a 4, but I'm adding a star for the value proposition. Cheaper and almost as good as the big boys. I'm good with that, and will repurchase in the future.

These are high quality blades, especially considering the price. You get an excellent smooth shave. The only issue I have is the straight edge for trimming sideburns is not sharp enough, it pulls instead of making clean cut. If they fix that problem they’ll have a five star product.

I have done most of the "club" razors, as well as several of the big-name men's brands. This is hands down one of the nicest surprises I think I have had trying an Amazon branded product. This is a very solid handle and blade set. The handle is very nicely done, with a pivoting/angling head, and a very easy to use blade release button. The blades are sharp, but I have not had any of the irritation problems I have had with other blades. I have sensitive skin, combined with facial hair that grows very fast. I have to shave daily. The combination of this razor and some sensitive skin shave cream have given me one of the best shave's I have ever had. I know that is saying a lot. But after years of irritated, burning, rashed up skin, it is really nice to be able to apply something scented to my face without getting torched. I was able to get 13 shaves out of one blade before it became scratchy. the set comes with 16 blades. Two blades a month...you do the math! It is a tremendous value! Thank you, Amazon!

I’ve been using this Amazon Brand five-blade razor for a while now, and it’s quickly become my go-to. The five blades provide an incredibly close shave without irritating my skin, which is a huge plus. Even with daily use, I’ve noticed less redness and fewer nicks compared to other razors I’ve tried.The handle feels sturdy and comfortable to grip, giving me great control in tricky areas. I waited 3 months to review. Why? That's how long my blades typically lasted with name brand razors (Schick Quattro or Hydro, or Bic).The Amazon Basics razor shaved at least as nicely as these, at a fraction of the cost. The blade lasted just as long. I also think this razor washes clean a little easier than the others.If I had to make one constructive criticism... The handle isn't as solid feeling as the Schick. Not bad at all, just not quite as nice.Great value for the price!

Really close shave. I was impressed with this razor for the price. Previously I was using a Gillette Fusion razor but the cost of replacement blades caused me to look for an alternative. Only issue is the trimmer blade. It hurts if you slide it down your face. I don't know if it is different from the other blades but definitely an issue.

I was a lifetime Gillette customer once, not any more though, I'm over that overpriced brand.Really happy I tried Amazon's 5 Blade Razors! It has a nice handle, and the blades give an exceptionally smooth shave. Saving money is always a big help too.Thank you for a great product.Happy in Arizona!
