After contracting Rocky Mountain Spotted Tick Fever I did a deep dive into tick repellents & learned Sawyer lotion was the hands down winner. Consumer Reports wasn’t wrong. Years later I had to take over management of the fam farm & added the Sawyer clothing gear & tent spray, treating my clothes - even my shoes, socks, & hat. Now I’m hiking thru deep woods, wading into creeks, and waking through tall grass without a bite.Some of my fam resisted and relied on deep woods off. After finding 1+ tick after every farm trek they’ve joined my Sawyer cult and no more ticks! It’s expensive and a PITA to drench everything but trust me, it’s a heck of a lot better than RMSTF.

PROS: This repellent doesn't smell, it works, it doesn't feel gross, it lasts all day, and it won't damage your watch. But…CONS: Just one — the pump on the bottle doesn't spray the repellent out, it spits it out in oily globs. If you try to spray it onto your legs, half of it ends up in little puddles on the floor. I don't know if I got a bad batch or if it's always like this. Come on, Sawyer… you can fix this!

Bought this for a month-long trip to a Caribbean island, so you know the mosquitos are plentiful. The zap of the mosquito zapper is frequent and loud.Lotion doesn’t have a scent, goes on like regular body lotion.I applied it 7 hours ago and pulled on a sleeveless top and shorts. This time yesterday, a chorus of mosquitos were singing harmonies in my ear before attacking my skin. Today, not a mosquito dares to come near me, though they’re bothering the other people in the house. I’m very pleased with my purchase.

This stuff works if you hike or fish , and have to wade through weeds and brush!And you no those ticks and other blood thirsty creatures are out to get ya! Then you should give this stuff a try!A hiker buddy of mine told me about it I love to fish and hunt! Then you no how they are!It’s worth your time to try it and see if it works for you as good as it has for me! My buddy has done the eastern and west hikes gone for weeks!This works for him works for me! Give it a try!

This stuff works. I’m a mosquito magnet and this works as well as Off deep woods, but without the Deet. There is little no smell and it doesn’t make you sticky and gross like some others. My back yard is heavily wooded and I sit outside a lot, so I use this almost daily. I’ve now stocked up on it, so I always have it on hand.

First time buying this and the product was effective at repelling the bugs in Costa Rica BUT I won't buy again. The pump piece didn't function correctly and left product all over my spraying finger/hand when applying the product. Also, it didn't dry clean and was kinda sticky or greasy on my skin. I adjusted how much I sprayed to see if it made a difference and same reault. It worked but felt yuck.
