Ideal for mobile use
Organizers are very simple things. They secure your papers safely and make it easy to find something when you need it. It becomes ideal when it works best in the environment where it is used. For example, the organizer that sits on my closet floor gets opened once a year and is strong enough so I can pile junk on top of it. I use the Rough Enough File Organizer completely opposite - in a dirty marine environment and I open it often. I needed a place to store documents and owner manuals for equipment on my boat. I wanted it with my tools and spare parts. I was sick of cheap plastic files that were easily broken or did not hold enough. The Rough Enough File Organizer is perfect. I really like the ability to just grab it and toss it in a car, bag or a dinghy as needed. The canvas is very strong and has kept my documents dry in a light rain. This is so strong that I can not see it breaking under the strain of being completely stuffed. This organizer would be great for taking papers into the field or in a marine environment as I use it. You can just toss this in anywhere and not have to worry about it being damaged or loosing your papers. If it ends up on the floor of your truck under a pile of tools, it will survive and protect your papers just fine. It is not waterproof as there are some openings in the bottom corners that allow dust and sand to fall out. I have found that I can carry it in the rain my documents are well protected. The other thing I like is that it looks and feels nice. The canvas just feels good in your hands and is not slippery. It is a bit pricier than a equally sized crummy plastic one. I just wish I had purchased this first instead of trying to save a few dollars just to become frustrated. I like the Rough Enough File Organizer enough that I think I will try some of the other Rough Enough products.

High quality, durable, compact and useful! Highly recommend!
I debated so long over what to get and was unsure when I bought this, but I honestly love it. I like it way more than I thought I would! I'm an engineer and travel a lot for work, and I wanted a nice compact and enclosed pouch to keep papers together. I previously used a simple plastic zipper pouch but it was wearing out and I wanted to fit more in it. I was worried this would be bulky because of the accordion style, but I didn't want the large dimensions of this brand's zipper pouches. I wanted it to slip easily into a backpack. This works perfectly and is much more slim that I imagined, while still fitting everything I need with space left over. It is clearly well constructed and seems very durable, and there are nice design features I appreciate like the pen loop facing inwards so it's less likely to snag as you slide it in or out of a bag, and the clear sleeve for contact information in case you leave it lying around. I don't really care for all-black, and also don't usually care for camo. I do wish there were other brighter/cute colors. While I appreciate the attempt at a feminine option with the pink lining, slapping hot pink inside camo seems pretty blegh 😒. But I went with the camo anyways and liked it more than I thought I would, especially after I added some stickers from work. Overall I'm super pleased with the purchase. It's definitely worth the money for something I'll use every day now, and the things I was initially concerned about weren't issues at all. I'll certainly be looking at purchasing other products from this brand, though I do wish they had better/more cute color options.

use it on the Harley
We rode motorcycle every day for a month from Dallas to LA to DC and back to Dallas and this filer held up very well. We had a lot of paperwork to care for during the Run For The Wall veterans ride. The filer has very little signs of wear and performed great. Three divided sections helps with categorizing and you can label them. Accordion style allows a wide opening when needing to reach into. Adjustable velcro has held with no stitching coming loose, having opened it hundreds of times. We don't use the pen loop, but it is a nice sized slice of elastic and attached very well. The front business card/ID/filer name holder is slightly a pain to use due to the opening being on the narrow end rather than the top wider edge. It is stitched very snuggly with no give, just not a big deal for us. Handy if you would not need to remove whatever you put in there very often. We use stick on tabs at the side edges for labeling to easily find various documents and there is plenty of space for them so they don't get bent over like in binders. Still use the filer on the Harley to keep documents that we need on the ready. Helps keep our Patriot Guard Riders informational flyers from getting beat up. This handy filer takes a beating in the saddlebags and you wouldn't know it looking at it. Unless something changes our minds I believe we would purchase again should this one become unusable, given they are still available. I might not use the word value for its price, however it was a smart purchase for our need. A less expensive option just did not work out.

High quality for 3 years of use (and counting)
I bought this organizer in 2021 to collect and protect my file folders and papers during business trips. Now in 2024 I'm still very glad I did. It not only protects my folders well, but it still looks good doing it -- business on the outside (black) and drama/fun on the inside (red). If it wore out today, I would buy another one just like it, but based on its excellent condition after 3 years I think I will wear out and retire before it does. Negatives? Hmmm... if you leave it on an unswept floor for a few weeks, it will pick up a bit of dust. That's all I can think of. Before I bought this organizer, I ran the page through online tools that detect potential fake reviews. They said that the reviews were suspect because they seemed too positive. After reading through its reviews carefully, I decided that they were probably real and it was just a good product. And now my own experience confirms it. I haven't been prompted by anyone else to write this review... I just picked it up to remove some papers and had a Marie Kondo "sparks joy" moment and felt inspired to write this.

Best accordian binders money can buy
Excellent item, not too many compartments, nice build quality, should last a good while. Worth the $ if its something you will use often. Very glad to have pulled this trigger, I recommend 10/10

Nice but expensive.
I needed a nice folder for work and settled on this one. I like the organizer, it is durable, the accordian files don't bend outwards, it holds plenty of documents and is sturdy. I liked the material-I didn't want plastic. However, this is WAY overpriced and if it wasn't a write-off I would have skipped it. But everything is costly nowadays so what are you gonna do....

Perfect for My Conference & Trip Files
The black outside and red inside instinctively appealed. At first reluctant based on price, but the more I studied the product I could sense a combination of good design and quality construction and materials. Fewer pockets was not only less expensive, but matched my travel needs: One pocket for notes and conference materials, another pocket for travel materials, and a third pocket for whatever else. In the past I kept file folders with papers in my backpack. This time I felt the paper was secure from being bent inside the Rough Enough organizer, so it went underneath clothing in the bottom of checked luggage. Not that I am unpacked, I am still keeping all the papers together inside the Rough Enough Organizer until I decide how to sort it all out. Highly recommend.

Nicely made file case
The construction and materials are excellent, and the red interior is super for visibility. I planned to use it to hold medical records for visits to doctors but unfortunately found myself wishing it had a carry handle so returned it. Though a slim briefcase seems better for me, this is a great choice for a portfolio-type case.
