I have always loved real fruit flavored candy. Problem is that everything made in the US now it just red and orange and green etc colored sugar. Anyone that has actually tasted an Orange of Lime and then try something like Dots -- they don't taste anything like the fruit they are supposed to represent. Nothing but gooey colored sugar. I found these on a trip to England several years ago and since I like to try new things I gave them a try. Fantastic slightly tart fruit flavors so brought about ten boxes home. You can't find them in stores in the US except in specialty English Food stores. I had kept a box and decided to look them up on the Web and glad that I found them again. These actually taste like real fruit. Orange, Strawberry, Lime, Lemon and Black Current. They are a little tart like real fruit is and the flavors are excellent. They are quite firm and if you have to chew everything up fast, they will stick to your teeth a bit but like I said, If you like fruit you will love the flavors!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

the current picture is different. This one says VEGAN friendly/ with SOFTER CHEW. If you like that super hard chew to it, you'll be disappointed. Even the flavor is different. I do like the new chew, it's like more of stick to every tooth kind of chewing. I mean the old one was like that, but since this is softer, it's much more gooey. Flavor wise, It's not bad. But since i've eaten these for 25+ years, it's hard to not miss the original. Dinging 1 start because its not the same, not really what's sold. Giving 4 because I'll still eat them

My favourite sweets from the UK! I’ve ordered maybe four times now and one order had an issue (lost in transit) and the company were amazing at issuing a new order out! I’ll only ever order my Fruit Gums from them. Much cheaper than buying in the stores here

The best "candy" ever. I grew up eating this candy of preference as a child in Hong Kong (mid-1960s). After returning to the United States (where they were not available, we would have our HK contact send us "supplies". Eventually I went to college, but the memory of "Rowntree's Fruit Gums" as the best candy ever made stuck with me. There really has not be anything to compare (no chocolate is even near the wonder and variety of this treat). Rowntree's Fruit Gums were a "natural" and "parent friendly" treat before those accolades were relevant or even known. The box version greatly surpasses the roll version and was a particular favorite at the "Saturday at the Movies" in Central, Hong Kong where I saw "The Sound of Music" and "A Hard Day's Night" (among many others). These were the treats of my childhood--I never new how lucky I was--Gummy Bears, Mars Bars and Snickers could not compare and so (fortunately) I never ate those. Parent friendly candy--just what you want for you kids. Enjoy!
