Dritz Chalk Tailor's Pencil, 1 Count (Pack of 1), White, Yellow, Blue

I need to mark my designs on my quilts to follow when I am hand quilting. In the past I always used a disappearing marker but that does not show on dark fabrics so I thought this would work and it does very well. It is thicker than a chalk Fons pencil. I would like to be able to buy one that is the exact size of the regular chalk pencil that you sharpen but this one does work well in 89% of my stencils.

This tool is a lifesaver. I like it better than the regular tailor's chalk triangle. I am a seamstress and I had a big wedding job coming up and had just run out of chalk. I needed something that was easy to hold and work with for a long period of time and this was absolutely perfect. It is sturdy, has several different colors of chalk and is easy to hold without making a mess. It far exceeded my expectations for the cost. I definitely recommend getting it!

Just kind of cheap , and the chalk doesn’t seem to mark well . It reminds me of a dried up ink pen, when trying to use it . Sorry I really wanted to like this , and thought it would be so much easier then just using a stick of chalk . But for me it was not .

This is only for occasional use. The chalk us so short it wouldn't go far at all. Definitely only for Taylor use not quilting. Chalk is very thin, came in plastic envelope and one piece is cracked. I will keep as it is more trouble than worth to return it. I've purchased more washable chalk pencils for marking quilt lines.

I bought this hoping it would be a good addition to my sewing kit. I used to have a nice chalk pen, but it has come up missing. No, just NO. It is horrible. You cannot even see anything. I attempted to take pictures of each of the chalk on black cotton fabric and they will not even show on the camera. I have a really nice camera!That said, the pen idea is a good one, but there is no lid either. This just leaves this open for breaking. This is a worthless product.Save yourself the frustration and spend a little more for a product you can actually use. Why spend money on something you will throw in the trash in about 30 seconds?

Broke easily. Seemed brittle dry. Did not mark well, too transparent to see to see. Tried all three colors. White cannot show on variegated dark blue cotton material.
