It can be played with a regular sized soccer ball on grass, but the small Futpong ball that comes with the game is designed to play on firm surfaces.

Q: Seems very expensive for two small pieces. What is the net and poles made of?

The frame for the net is made of a heavy gauge steel. The product is very solid as it needs to be so the net does not move when struck by the ball. This design allows the game to be played on any hard surface without needing any tie downs or other rigging.
