I got the tray I hoped to get. It's not foil-thin. It's just a good proper tin tray. The rim is around an inch (2.5cm) deep. It will comfortable hold even a very big dinner plate, or a side plate and a mug.Dropping it edge-down onto tile will dent the rim but not make the coating flake. It hasn't shown any sign of rust, wear or scratching in six months of near-daily use. For that, I marked it high in value for money because I'm not likely to have to go and buy another one to replace it any time soon and I've had flimsier ones wear out pretty quickly.

Ordered two new trays. Arrived today in good time as Amazon Prime. One is dented completely which is disappointing. Am going to try the other before ordering a new one just in case it is par for the course. Lovely colour .
