Gamesaver FSGSSL0800-000 Titanium Game Saver

If you are into vacuum sealing, or to vacuum and you can vacuum seal literally anything from really fine ground sand particles to meat after your hunting kill. This vacuum sealer is in my opinion commercial grade, and it can do everything with everything in between! Before buying this titanium vacuum sealer, I had purchased two separate unrelated vacuum Sealing units within a time span of one year approximately. Now, both units have quit on me, "without even that much use", so when I decided to purchase a new vacuum sealer system for my business, I decided to go with the best of the best! After doing some Google searches etc... based upon customer reviews, the titanium game-saver is the best vacuum sealer machine around in this day and time! That review on Google that I read did not lie, as I am more than pleased with its ease-of-use and robust build. I was actually surprised to see how large it was when I unboxed the item, as the pictures don't do it justice. This titanium vacuum sealer is a beast, a beast in a good way though! I would highly, highly recommend this vacuum sealer to anyone regardless of what you are planning on vacuum Sealing, as it works absolutely awesome even on other items than just food items! It's is just all around, I couldn't ask for anyting better and have absolutely no complaints! If given the choice, I would not change one single thing on this product ! Thank you so much! Over the years we have gone through probably a dozen vacuum food sealers. Most would lose vacuum, or start to vacuum out the air then seal the bag prematurely. Others would only seal a bag or two then would have to cool down for a few minutes before it would work again. Very frustrating for sure. Was about to go out to get yet another one and while checking units on the internet, found this one. $330.00 for a food saver????? Well, considering we have probably spent a grand over the years...In retrospect this one would have been a bargain. Our local warehouse club had a special deal on whole Ribeyes. Bought three and had them cut into 36 steaks. This titanium beauty had no problem making 36 bags and double sealing them all. All within about 10 minutes. A total of 72 seals consecutively!!!! Well worth the cost!

I own the 2400 series food saver so that is what I will be comparing this unit to. Both units stop at exactly 16Hg when pulling a vacuum. This is perfectly acceptable for most accessories and bags. But don't expect this unit to boil water. As for this unit giving you a better vacuum due to the dual piston pump. Hogwash...... Like I said they both stop at the same vacuum. This unit will get you there a little faster, but not much. Most seals it beats the 2400 series food saver by about 1 second. I do like this machine over my older 2400 because it has a larger bag capacity and seems to be a more solid design. It is much sturdier than the newer all plastic food savers they are currently selling. This unit does have a dual sealer. Here is how it works. There are two impulse sealers. When using the continuous mode it alternates which sealer it uses. While this lets you do more seals faster without overheating, it does make it kind of difficult to do precise sealing as you really never know which one is going to be used. When using the double seal option it does one then the other seal. All in all I like the unit and I am glad I made the purchase. The stainless steel cover does add some considerable cost to the unit but I have to say it really looks good sitting on my counter.

My husband and I cut and wrap game for ourselves, family and friends. Sometimes we have multiple elk or deer we are processing at the same time. We have worn out 4 other food savers of various models within 1-2 years. The biggest issue with the other models is the sealing element or the suction would quit working properly. So when this unit was advertised to do a 100 seals I thought this was for me. For the cost my expectation is it better be the last one I buy for many years. It is very large, but I had checked out other so called commercial food savers in the store so I was prepared for the size. I really like the double seal. A little disappointed that it did not do 100 seals. When we were going between sealing bags with meat and making bags we would have to let it set for 1-2 minutes. Not what I was expecting. We were using double seal and did not know that Food Saver does not recommend using this function all the time. There is nothing in the booklet that cautions you about this, so that may have been our problem with having to wait. So I am guessing the 100 seals advertised is for single seal only. It does waste a lot of bag between the seal and the end and I have not found a way to shorten this. The booklet keeps repeating you need 3" and it is designed to do that. Which means you will get less bags per roll, so pays to try to reuse whenever possible. The unit is too high to use directly on the counter to seal, the bags will pull out of the channel. I solved this by putting a couple of books in front to bring up the near the height of the seal. It has some great features, the option to double seal, a button for just sealing and the lock for storing. I like that it is a flat model. I did not like the space saver models as you had to tip back the whole top and spent a lot of time putting the end of the bag in and out to trip the mechanism and heaven help you if the end curled. Based on the price, design flaws and not actually able to the amount of seals advertised I could not give this unit a 4 or 5 star. Food saver should have done a little more product and usability testing on this model.

We butchered 54 chickens and the vacuum worked on about 20 of them. Maybe 30 to start with but they lost their vacuum. The seal part of the machine worked well and kept up with us ( not needing a break). By the time we were done we wanted to return it. However there really isn't any other "good" options without spending a lot more money. Would I recommend the product... no.
