The idea is really great -- don't count calories, we'll do it for you. You have to be willing to understand that it counts when calories are used by the body ("digested") but the data is very helpful for establishing your intake and working towards a deficit.HOWEVER ... big however here ... if you work out hard and burn calories through exercise the watch see those as calories used (digested) and counts them. Completely negates the point of the watch. The technology is looking for changes in the water content of your cells. This happens when we digest food from our stomach or when our body burns stored body fat. So, if you burn 300kcal of body fat it shows up as you having eaten 300kcal of food.Huge bummer. Was really excited -- there really is no way around this for them and so the watch become useless.INITIAL REVIEW ... was very excited ... used for two months but it just doesn't work. ((I will be sure to give an update on how I’m finding the measurements, accuracy and helpfulness of the device — but my initial time with it is crazy cool. The device itself is not very attractive or cool or even very easy to put on and wear — but the data it collects, the assessments it provides and the analysis you get completely blow my mind. This is where we are heading — I’m certain of it. This is the start of something big. I love it.))

I bought the first generation when it came out but I eventually had to send it back because of the constant software issues. I then bought this one and it seemed to work great for a while, until they pushed a firmware update and then the calorie calculations were WAY OFF. After a few months they pushed more updates and it seemed to be better but it seemed like every time an update was pushed, something else broke and the calorie calculations are still pretty far off. They should have hired better QA for this. I had so many hopes for it, but at the end of the day it's just junk.

What makes this so amazing is the OmMeGo coaching. There is no other device that can tell you your digested calories but pair that with the fine tuning and reporting the two great men behind OmMeGo there is nothing like it. I am so excited to have my Healbe and to be working with Ommego.
