Do AK mags fit well in the pouches?

this is proven to fit 4 Galil Banana 35rd. Mags that are similarly shaped to AK. the flaps indeed run out of velcro at a times, but the secret is to use a rubber band through the hole and to the bottom of each pouch. running miles with this I never lost a mag .

Will these pouches hold ar15 mags and m4 mags(30rds)?

Yes thats the weapons system this is made for. If you use P mags its a bit tight. I do highly suggest tying a paracord magpul. The pouches go very high and cover the mag completely making it hard to get the mags out in a pinch. This is a GREAT rig though. Worth every penny.

It should but since I don't have any on hand I cannot guarantee how well they fit.

The total number of 30rd magazines it can hold is five. The pouch on the left hand side can hold two magazines.
