Dremel Parts 2610916116 Driver Cap

I had an old dremel model 4000 and flex extension, but did not have the driver cap. I got a new flex extension, but ut did not thread properly on the odl dremel. This worked without cross threading!

I have a 15 year old Dremel 4000 kit and recently discovered the Driver Cap had been lost from my set. My owner Manual gave a different part number than I could find anywhere. I ordered part number 2610916116 and it fit perfectly. Threads were the same and I was happy I didn’t have to buy a new Dremel rotary flex shaft! Item was well packaged and arrived quickly.

I DUG OUT MY OLD DREMEL FLEX SHAFT FROM 30 YEARS AGO TO START SOME WOOD CARVING. I QUICKLY FOUND IT USELESS WITHOUT THE DRIVE NUT, THAT AMAZINGLY HOW SOMEHOW HAD BEEN MISPLACED IN MERE 30+ YEAR PERIOD! GO FIGURE? I FIGURED THAT I WOULD HAVE TO BUY A NEW DREMEL FLEX SHAFT (30 DOLLARS) BUT FOUND THIS ON AMAZON! WORKS GREAT AND THE OLD STYLE FLEX SHAFT IS FAR SUPERIOR FOR DETAIL WORK!

Older model Dremel tool came with extension shaft but this part was missing. Thankfully still available. Works as advertised.

Exactly what I needed even though it came two weeks too late to use on my job.

I have several Dremel motor tools and attachments, purchased largely second-hand at garage or estate sales. I wanted two of these "driver caps" so I can attach flex shafts and right angle attachments on various motors and not have to keep changing them out. The caps arrived in Bosch parts bags and look exactly like the one I have that came with a flex shaft I purchased new. FYI, these work on my Dremel products: 300, 395 type 4, 395 Type 5, 4000 motor tools; 225, 225 T2 flex shafts; right angle attachment. The cap seems heavy duty for what it is, and I hope it lasts a long time, because they are expensive.

I needed a replacement cap, and this seemed to fit the bill, and it's great. The square hole that grabs the shaft is correct, and it's a no hassle replacement if your original goes bad.
