Great for "grab-and-go"
Great product utility, versatility, and quality. Had to trim the thickness of the hole where the rifle's strap attachment pin is located as there was not enough clearance to attach the QD shackle, but it was a small, 3 minute, invisible modification. Otherwise a great fit, no obstruction while shouldering/sighting the rifle, and provides a comfortable cheek weld. Easily holds two 15 round or 17 round magazines... the 20 or 30 round magazines would not be practicle, and, well... the extra weight of full HC mags at the butt stock would be ridiculous. I would have no problem recommending this "grab-and-go" accessory.

Looks, Fits and Feels GREAT!!!!
I own the .45ACP version of the CX 4 so I bought this figuring I'd send it back if it didn't fit my magazines. After a few days of stretching they fit perfectly! The sleeve fits tight on the stock with the Velcro strip, its ambidextrous just like the gun and it leaves the bottom sling attachment point available if I ever need it. The only thing I'd change is the covers for the magazines are snaps, I would have preferred Velcro here also. Love this, and would Highly recommend this to anyone!

Needs modification on the closure system
Not a bad concept but poorly executed. The Storm Packer almost feels like a generic "one size fits all" mag pouch, but undoubtedly it was specifically designed for the CX4. The only big drawback was the closure system. From the factory, the pouch wraps around the stock so that the seam faces up towards the shooter's cheek. Additionally, the hook part of the velcro tab was on the outer flap, which could allow it to rub against the cheek if the seam rolled down. I removed the velcro and asked my wife to re-stitch the pieces so now the upper portion of the flap folds downward like an envelope over the lower flap. I also asked her to sew the hooks to the upper flap.

Well made, functional, and ALMOST perfect.
This is a very well made product and I'm very happy with. I would give it a full five stars but for a couple design issues that would seem to be entirely fixable with a little extra detailing. For one, you have to install at least one stock extender block on your CX4 so it sticks out beyond the rear edge of the Stormpacker. Not a big deal, but this could have been easily solved by placing the sling mount hole that the unit indexs on 1/4 inch closer to the edge. The other minor nit pick is no access window to the sling mount on the side of the rifle. BUUUUT, this is still a nice addition to the carbine (even though the plastic carbine case won't close with the mags inside the storm packer - too fat).

The Sling Attachments Are Still Usable
The sling attachments are still usable folks, just run the sling through the loop and back towards the butt pad, then put on the holster. Do it on the far side, away from your body (like you're supposed to do), and the pressure on the sling pulls against the stock not the holster and holds it closer to your chest. This is for carrying the weapon against the front of your body in a 2 point sling configuration. If you're right handed, the sling comes up over your right shoulder, down your back, around your left side and across to the front of the gun. The stock is near your shoulder and the barrel is below your waist. It works perfectly.Regarding the product, the flaps need to be cut better to fit the contour of the stock. It's tight toward the rear but has a large air pocket toward the front. This is made for one gun only so there's no reason for this. This is just a quick design fix and if you changed that, and maybe designed holes for the sling mounts for the people who have an issue with it, it would be perfect.

CX4 mag carrier for .45 ACP
My CX4 is a .45 ACP version.Excellent fit, indexes on bottom sling attach point and allows for qd swivel to attach. Accepts two standard .45 ACP magazines perfectly, will not accept extended, 10 shot, .45 ACP mags. Highly recommend if you are looking for easy carry of two spare magazines. Only downside is the additional weight of the magazines but it does seem to improve balance and reduce recoil.

Should have paid the extra few $ and purchased direct from Beretta
Should have paid the extra few $ and purchased direct from Beretta - Mags would not fit with the dust covers installed - and it would not wrap around the stock completely, the velcro would only attach about 1/2 in. did not leave me with any confidence in the product.

Highly recommend.
Bought this for my wife's Beretta CX4 Storm for her birthday. She loves it. She had no problem putting it on the gun. My wife & I both put it on & took it off the gun to make sure. It fits like a glove. Adds a little weight to the gun with 2 magazines, but she is able to handle it with no problem. The hole for the sling attachment fit perfectly. Excellent construction.
