It is a little on the larger size but that makes it easier to read in the dark as the character size is readable. Also, it has a small blue cross on the upper platter that designated the zenith directly above the observer. I’ve used this under red light (to preserve eye sensitivity ) and it is still quite readable. A good choice if you are looking for a planisphere that actually is worth the price. Review: Excellent and a must have - This planasphere is centered on 42 degrees North latitude. Fortunately I live at 42 and a half degrees N. Latitude! So this is perfect for our family!

Nearly perfect version of Philips Planisphere . Zenith blue cross overhead point is misplaced.
A nearly perfect version of a Philips Planisphere. Zenith, blue cross overhead point, is misplaced at over 50 degrees declination which would be appropriate for London, UK. Correct placement would be at 42 degrees declination for this planisphere.

Not for me
I'm new at this, so take it for WIW. First, the type is too tiny to make out. It's difficult to see in low light. I find the sky oddly shaped and warped. Heck, my sky is round. I have a map from Orion that I like much better. DeepMap 600, folding sky chart. Their typeface is small too, but at least the objects are realistically spaced. EDIT:2 weeks later> worse! I just don't like this thing.

Un buen producto, muy bien terminado y ajustado para la latitud 42º que es la que yo uso. La mayoria de panisferios estan diseñados para latitud 45º y me dan un pequeño error. Este no

This is the perfect tool to help me find stars and deep space objects. It's well made and easy to use.

I love the features of having star names, and locations of the planets. Better colour contrast would make it 5-stars
