The Qur'an (Quran): With Surah Introductions and Appendices

Easy to read and understand!

The Quran is a puzzle piece in a divinely constructed jigsaw puzzle. Along with all other religious books it reveals a divine image. 🙏🏽

First off, I already own a few copies of the Blessed QUR'AN for different purposes. One of the most thorough and with a smooth translation was published in England based on a text published in Pakistan. While I love it, I wanted a copy of the much celebrated SAHEEH INTERNATIONAL Translation as it was recommended by Muslim scholars as "free of mischief" or tampering by anybody of ill-will. To say it lived up to the hype is an understatement!This Saheeh International Edition put out by THE QUR'AN PROJECT is not only a smooth read, it gives a thorough introduction for each SURAH or chapter as well as the English translation of the titles (which are missing in my British Edition) and there are articles included after the final Surah testifying to the significance of The Qur'an and why it is just as relevant today as 1400 years ago, providing strong arguments why it can be no less than The Word of GOD. As an added benefit, there's even an instruction manual, if you will, on the "standard" method of prayer in a mosque!If I have any quibbles, they are personal ones; In my copies of The Qur'an, I usually prefer to have The Name of GOD rendered as ALLAH (Exalted Be His Name) instead of "God" as I feel that term is too generic and has even once been applied to Zeus! But like I said, that's a personal thing with me and as my Muslim brothers and sisters might remind me, Human beings don't all walk at the same pace on the road to Paradise. Another "quibble" might be the absence of a side text in the original Arabic, but I knew of this and that other versions which do include the Arabic, are available.However, there is an issue unique to myself and other, older Muslims--the text has a very delicate font. While I can read it in a well-lit room, I still need a magnifying glass to be able to read it with ease; that's one advantage my British edition has over this particular Saheeh volume. If anyone is similarly afflicted, you might want to get a Saheeh translation with a bolder print!All and all, it is a wonderful soft cover edition. Even as I write this, I am preparing to measure it for one of those fancy book covers; I want this to last for a good, long while!

Had no idea there would be so much information in here. Great section on scientific miracles in the Qur'an. I was particularly impressed with the explanation of the moon splitting mentioned in Suratul-Qamar. Real eye opener.

One of the best translations

First of all the book arrived much more quickly than expected and in excellent condition which is great! I haven't read it yet but the first thing I see written in the book... I very much enjoyed the message left for me, as seen in the picture attached so thank you!I myself am not Muslim however to those of the Muslim faith this would be considered extremely rude! I was actually extremely surprised to find something like this and sent from World of Books! I have used this company many times before to buy my books and not once have I ever had a problem.Message aside though, although I have yet to read it the book is very well presented which makes it very easy to read. The writing is a little on the small side which may make it harder for those with vision impairments to read but overall it is great quality.Three stars because although the book itself is great, the message not so much.

The reason why I have given 4 stars instead of 5 was because the Quran came a little damaged and I wouldn't usually mind that much but I paid a lot of money for it and what made me a little more annoyed was that it shows in the book thay it's the 8the addition which was published in 2017 but on the amazon page it says published in 2019! The only reason I chose to buy this one waa because I thought it was the latest one compared to other publishers. That being said, I dont know the process of a refund and quite frankly I cant be bothered with the hassle at the moment but I am not very happy. I was looking forward to it but these things have put me off a bit and made me feel like I had been deceived. All on all, at the end of the day it's a translation of the holy Quran and I am still happy to read it. Just wish I didnt feel so deceived .
