Art Bin Deluxe Super Satchel 17.9x16.8x5 Translucent 6981AB

This item is perfect for all of my art supplies. As an artist, I am always trying new products and techniques so I have a substantial amount of tools and supplies. As a Art Education major currently in college, I need all of it to be portable to my classes. This works perfectly. The two side compartments give me quick access to my most used items like my drawing supplies and colored pencils. The big undivided compartment on the bottom has plenty of room for my sketchbooks, paper, and large items. The top compartment, with all the dividers, is perfect for my painting supplies and other odds and ends. I really like that I can customize the length of the compartments. I do wish that I could customize the width of the compartments, as well, like other craft organizers allow, but the box is still perfect for my needs with out that feature.So far it seems to be good quality. It was in great shape when it arrived and hasn't broken with my constant opening and closing as I sorted and organized my supplies from many boxes to one.

I love the case it fits everything I need. It's perfect for my craft shows, one box all the stuff. Only problem is that one of the side flap boxes broke and the joint. It's still usable and taking everything out to return the item seems in worth it. My SIL had the exact same problem. She kept hers too.

While looking for the elusively "perfect" case to store knitting supplies and accessories I happened across this satchel. What really drew me was the seller's statement about the side compartments: "two (4-1/2x12-3/8x1-1/8in) hinged; fold-up side bins with dividers allow for multiple storage options and are detachable". That seemed about as perfect as I was going to find - a large case to hold everything and two detachable that could be portable for trips.The satchel arrived and I started filling it. It fit everything I had for supplies and still leaves me a lot of room to grow. However, I am very disappointed that the side compartments are NOT detachable without busting off the plastic pegs that hold them into the main satchel and allow the compartments to fold-up. Major bummer! This was the selling feature for me, and it isn't even accurate. :(I hope the seller removes their claim of detachability so no one else is disappointed this way. I'm rating the bin a 3 because it is roomy, and is able to be configured extensively with respositionable dividers. One other thing that isn't sitting well however, the top compartment is very difficult to open without unclipping the two buckles and opening it from the bottom compartment. A redesign on the press-down central lever that holds the top cover of the top compartment really seems to be in order as it is stiff and I need to get leverage by gripping it from below.While I appreciate the size of this satchel, I'm still looking for the "perfect" organizer for my yarn supplies.

This is the second time I've got one of these bins. They are fantastic for craft storage!

Bad purchase. One of the arms roke off when it was shipped. The material is flimsy and may not tolerate much handling. Has limited space and not deep enough to hold much........what we're they thinking when they made this one?

Arrived broken so I never got to use it. The very first thing I've ever had to return. The return process was pretty slick though!It was pretty big and I think it would have been super useful.

I really like this ArtBin container because it lets me organize a lot of dis-similar items.

Got this for fly tying materials and it works very well. The top compartment holds threads, some construction materials, and my small collection of tools; I use some cloth to pad and contain the tools (scissors, bobbin, bodkin, etc) so they don't rattle around and bounce off each other. My reservations have to do with the top lid to the top multi-compartment unit--it is pretty sketchy; it is a type of snap-over holder which requires some effort to seat properly. If I take this anywhere I will probably get a strap to secure it and insure that I don't drop all sorts of thread, bobbins, tools, etc all over. The other comment is one I agree with another reviewer that the side compartments fold down but are not removable (at least not in any obvious way); they do work well for all my hooks but would be nice to remove the tray for better access.

Handy storage item

Got this for all my jewellery making bits. brilliant size box and loads of room - very easy to keep things tidy and brilliant shape with the sides boxes and deep storage under the sections tray on top. well recommended.

I've bought three of these as they're ideal for storing/ sorting and displaying trade samples. They are strong and light so it's easy to see what's inside.
