Kia UA014-TU5014AJTA Touch-Up Paint Pen (- Inferno Red, 0.5 fl oz)

Just got a new car and wanted to be prepared to cover any rock paint chips as they happen. just a touch to cover anything so rust wont be my problem.

This appears to be about 99% thinner and 1% actual paint. After continualy shaking this up to mix it good for over 15 minutes this still comes out so thin that it will not stay in the area you try to apply it and simply runs. Waste of time and money.

My car had a small surface scratch that went through the paint, but not through the primer. This touch up paint pen did the job it was intended to do perfectly. I can barely tell the scratch was ever there unless I look at the spot very closely.It is important that you follow the instructions under the label on the pen closely before using it. The other end of the pen also includes a clear coat, although the instructions say not to use it unless you wait at least 1-6 hours after applying the paint.It is also worth noting that this pen likely won't work on deep scratches that have gone through the primer, which seems to be one of the main reasons for some of the bad reviews on here. It is not intended to be used for deep scratches, after all, and it even says that on the product listing.

I don't like having to use the pen more than 2 or 3 times to cover a scratch. The color is exactly the color I need for my car. The smell is minimal and easy to apply.

The car had a few scratches and it worked awesome just follow the instructions and make sure the spot your covering is very clean we did it on a cool day so it will take its time to dry but turn out great

The color match is great. The original pearl paint system is very poor. This is an emergency use to try and keep more paint from peeling off

I followed the directions and paint never came out of the tip. It’s a runny paint like mix that refuses to stay inside the scratch.

The product is useless for the deep scratches and doesn't work in plastics.It is very liquid and not viscous to keep the dye on the surface.
