Waterproof Grease

This is a great grease to use in those applications that need an extreme pressure grease as well as a normal grease. Because it holds up against water and heat dissipation at higher temps or wet, it keeps on lubricating when other greases are long gone. It does not sling off of rotating parts and clings to what you put it on. It has held up better for me than even EP designated greases and 100.00 tubes of grease. Have used it on boat outdrives, outboard motors, motorcycle driveshafts, wheel bearings, grease fittings on suspension, door latch assemblies, hinges and just about any application that needs greasing. On tear down of parts that have been greased with this there has always been grease in the spots, that I put it on. On a motorcycle drive shaft that would sling and boil every grease off the splines, leading to rusted dry worn splines, this stuff held up. It also does not dry up and leave bearing races dry in the path of the bearing like I have seen other greases do. Some grease gun tubes leaks out of the tube creating a mess, this stuff always stays in the tube I pack it in and never leaks out. If grease leaks out of a sitting grease gun tube how good can it be in any service? That is why I dont buy anymore grease gun tubes of grease and pack my own. Grease is pretty much taken for granted till you find the cost of there being no grease on parts that need it. So that is why for years I have used this product. All around its a product that goes beyond what you would expect, and for that I use this pretty exclusively on all repairs I do.

This Bel-Ray waterproof grease is an aluminum complex grease. As such, it is compatible with other aluminum based grease products such as the original formula of Sta-Lube marine grease. If you have been using aluminum complex grease in the past, you won't have to clean out all the old grease before using this product. This grease is ideal for boat trailer wheel bearings and outboard motor pivot bearings.

Tried another well known brand and immediatley regretted it. Back to the bearing grease I've used for about 30 years with ZERO issues and is nearly impossible to wash out with a pressure washer.

One of my go to items on my boat. Make sure to store the container upright, or it will leak.

Okay, that being said ... Two things have changed about this product: it comes in a nice, dirt-hiding designer blue container with a black top; the grease itself is a nice "techy" looking blue-green color ...the better to make you think your using some uber mod grease. Other than that it's the same stuff ...which is great because the old, brown, grease-colored Bel-Ray waterproof grease worked great ...even if you didn't need it for it's water-proof capability. My old container had a "$4.95" price tag on it ...I've had it for awhile. I use this stuff to lube the slip joint on my '98 GMC one-piece driveshaft where it slips onto the output shaft of the 4l60E tranny. It's the only grease I've found solving the driveshaft "thump" you'll get with the one-piece driveshaft when moving off from a stop. The "stop thump" is a common malady to certain vintage GM trucks and Bel-Ray is the only grease I've found that stays sticky and viscous when it gets warm ...exactly what I need to cure the drive line issue on my truck ...and works for up to a year for me. My only complaint? Why did they have to change the color of the container and the grease? The old white container made it a lot easier to find when sitting amongst my other pots of grease on the shelf and the new blue-green grease color makes you think the stuff has been reformulated (for the worse); if it ain't broke don't fix it. But no worries, it's still the same and still the best.

However did I get by without this lube??!?!!! This lube is the best!! Holds up to heat. It just works. Its viscosity allows a dab goes a long way. May sound crazy to get excited about a lubricant, but you just have to celebrate any lube that can painlessly get the job done!!

このグリースは水分を弾くタイプの耐水グリース。水分が入ると グリースの色が変わり乳化するタイプの耐水グリースもある。 乳化はダメ。そうとは言えない。耐水性を保持しつつグリースに 求められる機能、性能を確立させるアプローチ方法、考え方が 作り手により異なり、それが製品に反映されただけ。使い手にしても、 乳化を確認できる方が部品交換時期やトラブルの発見に都合が良いと 判断する場合もあるから、そこは使い手の、使用箇所においても、 チョイスしだい。 ベルレイのこのグリースは、ちょっと固いが、タレにくいのが 好みでもあり、わたすぃには都合が良い。ステム、ピボットシャフト、 リアサスのリンク、ベアリング含め、分解が面倒な箇所、頻繁には 分解しない、或いは、したくない箇所（笑）、部品交換の回数や、 ベアリング打ち替えなんかの回数を減らしたいのであれば、オフ車、 オン車を問わずにオススメできる。 チャリンコ乗りに言わせると固すぎるって言うけれど、野ざらしが 多いママチャリのステム、特に下側、これを盛り付けてみ。大盛り じゃなく適量で。錆で困るなんてことは、ほぼ回避できるよ。 シートポストもね。一般的なグリースよりも、経年後の錆具合、 その少なさが目視できるはず。敏感なラチェットには指定ちょう度か、 指定の銘柄を使ってね。このグリースだと爪が起きないかもしれないので。 その他の一般的なグリースと比較すると低価格ではないけれど、 耐水、耐塩水にも優れた万能グリース。熱的には-40℃から177℃対応 なので、それほどの高温でもない箇所でのモリブデン入りグリース の使用を代用できる他のグリースを探している方にも、オススメ。 詳しくは教えてくれない社外秘扱いになっているかもしれないけれど、 何かしらの圧剤は入っているに違いない。経験上、そう思う。 ゴムや樹脂類への攻撃性だけれど、同じく、経験上、耐油、耐ガソリン 素材であれば、これまでのところ問題なし、です。 オフ車乗りは泥水コースを走ったりするので、オン乗りよりも、 清掃、整備の回数も多い。高圧洗浄機を使うことも多いかな。 一般的に、だよ。そういうこともあって、壊れやすい箇所、不調と なりやすい箇所、使うケミカル用品にしても、詳しい場合が多い。 頻繁にバラすから、用途の適正だけで、こだわらない人も多いけれど、 オフ車乗りには定番と言っても過言ではない、整備、組み付けにも 使えるグリースだよ。動き方ではどうか。これよりも優れるものが あるだろうけれど、そこそこの荷重、負荷がかかる箇所なら、それは 問題にならない。荷重がかかると潤滑性が落ちる。この方が問題。 あまりバラさないユーザーにこそ、オススメしたいが、それだと、 使い終わるのは子供、孫世代になってしまうかもしれないね（笑） コマメにステップ回り、レバー回り、ネジやボルトに薄ら、その他、 買物カートや台車の車輪回り、自動ドア、シャッター、門のガラガラ、 雨の当たる箇所、湿気の多い箇所、排水に難がある箇所なんかにも 使ってみてください。耕耘機にもオススメできるよ。立派なオフ車 ですので（笑） 余計だけれど、スプレー式のみであるのが残念だが、おなじみKureの フードグレードグリースも気になる存在だ。これの方が多くの人に とっては、使い易いかもしれないね。皮膚が直接に触れるような箇所で、 手動ものなら、わたすぃの場合、白色ワセリンを塗り込んでいるが（笑）
