So I've been using this face wash daily for around 5 months and I can safely say it's the best I've ever used. I have pretty sensitive skin that gets irritated very easily. This is the only face cleanser I've used that hasn't made me break out/itch... Even after using it for a few months.It smells like citrus-y ginger to me. My first bottle is almost empty which is great considering the cost and how small the bottle is. A little goes a long way. The packaging is minimalistic and efficient, I've never had trouble getting product out of the bottle and one short pump is the perfect amount.I've seen people complain about how drying this cleanser can be. Yes, it can be drying... If you don't use any moisturizer or anything afterwards. It's a cleanser. It strips the oil and dirt off your skin. Just like how you use conditioner for your hair, you should also use moisturizer for your skin after stripping down the natural moisture barrier.I personally use Trader Joe's Rose Water Facial Toner then top it off with Trader Joe's Enrich Moisturizing Face Lotion with SPF 15 directly after drying my face. This completely counteracts the drying/tightening feeling from the cleanser and leaves your skin feeling clean and soft (and the extra SPF is a great added bonus!)

I would have to agree with most of the reviews here!! I was skeptical of all the great reviews but they’re true. The smell is great- at least it is for me. It is a citrusy blend with a hint of sweetness to it. If you’re worried about the smell lingering, it won’t. I used 2 pumps to wash my face the first time, but it was way more than enough! You only need one pump of this to other your whole face and neck. A little definitely goes a long way! I’ve been having random adult acne (probably hormonal) as a woman in my early 30s, and I read in some reviews that people’s skin has cleared after usage so I will have to post an update about that after a few weeks of use. But what I can tell you is that my face feels fresh, clean, and left with a very natural feeling moisture after each wash. No irritation either. My normal skin is combination type (dry and oily). My face did not feel dry or oily from this wash. I usually moisturize heavily but didn’t have to. Instead, I used a light gel type moisturizer and it was enough! Yay. I hope this product will end up being “it” for me!! If you’re unsure, I think this product is definitely worth a try.

I am a 54 year old woman with sensitive skin. I have some wrinkles that are starting to show under my eyes and when I wash that area with anything other than Pure Facial Cleanser it gets very dry and irritated. It would actually hurt for days no matter how much I moisturized. There’s no burning or smell and it washes off completely, without any residue. That’s how I can tell it’s not made with harsh chemicals. I cant even use the Hypoallergenic facial cleansers especially the bars. They dry my skin out badly and also leave a film on my face I cant get rid of no matter how many times I rinse. Pure leaves my skin soft and smooth without sounding like a cheesy commercial. It’s true! I love tge neck cream too!! I only wish they both came in bigger bottles. The face wash bottle is so small that I run out constantly. Other than that I would recommend this cleanser it to all my friends and I do. It’s great for anyone with aging drying sensitive skin and I’ve tried everything!

I am always looking for a face wash that will clean my skin without stripping it of all my natural oil, that doesn’t smell like soap or perfume.Having sensitive skin it’s often suggested I use the cream or gel cleansers that never really left my skin feeling clean. I could prove it when I would follow with a cotton ball wetted with micellar water to wipe off the rest of my makeup because my face did not feel completely clean, and it wasn’t.The beauty of Pure Biology facial wash is how gently it cleans my face, leaving no makeup or airborne debris behind, and my face doesn’t feel stripped and dry. The scent is a pleasant citrus pine that reminds me of the wintery hikes in the northern forests of Canada.My husband and I both use Pure Biology and both highly recommend it! I gave the moisturizing level of the product a 4star rating opposed to 5 only because a moisturizer should be followed with after using this cleanser due to the amount of oils removed naturally during them cleansing process. However, I can honestly say this foaming cleansing wash did leave my skin more moisturized than any other wash I have used in the past.

I am a 48 year old black female. I noticed my skin has started to change and have been trying different skin care items. None haver really fit or done what they claim.I really like this product. I don't usually like fragranced items on my face, but this is more like a "spa" smell. Very refreshing. I use it morning and night. I do wear makeup and it removes all my makeup when I wash my face and night. It lathers very nicely. You can feel how smooth the lather becomes, almost like a lotion as you wash your face. I would highly recommend giving this product. I plan to purchase again an again.

I loved all the ingredients, the way it smelled and also the lather, but after using it daily my chin became so dry that by mid afternoon there are little cracks and flakes of skin. Although it makes my skin feel taught, it is almost too tight and it in turn is making it look dryer. I used it for a total of 5 weeks hoping that maybe it would get better after week 2, but it remained the same/got a little worse. If you don't have dry skin maybe it would be perfect for you, but this escalated my issue instead of hydrating.
