Easy to use
This machine certainly packs a punch! Packed with a powerful array of sounds, it is fully programmable with plenty of user slots available, yet somehow manages to remain easy to use. There are a ton of videos on YouTube giving an idiots guide to using the various functions so that even a non technical person like me can access the full array with relative ease. I use it as a standalone drum kit and have added a kick drum pedal to add a more authentic feel, although strictly speaking this is not needed as the nine pads give ample room for a kickdrum to be assigned to one. An extremely versatile instrument marketed to rival the more expensive Roland, it is definitely worth the price, and I would have no hesitation recommending it.

Excellent product with very few limitations
I managed to pick this up for just £325 new from Amazon.co.ik as B stock, with a small 1” scratch / mark on the underside of the unit (and I really had to look hard to find it!) Obviously this made it Exceptionally good value for money as at the time I was o pay looking for a 4 pad trigger. The installed kits are pretty mediocre IMO great maybe for demo purposes but not for live use. However also included are over 7000 other sounds you can create your own kits with + and additional 20+GB of free storage to import you own samples. There are tons of pro features and also includes a sampler. Changing kits is I hear slower than say the Roland equivalent but only takes 5-10 seconds depending on the size of the samples being loaded. If your changing kits during or between every track and you have no way to fill 5 or 10 seconds while the kit changes, then this ‘might’ be an issue for you however for the vast majority of us it’s a ‘non’ issue. Great bit of kit and really well built.

Dead on arrival
So I received my multipad with great excitement, only to power it on and it be frozen on the Alesis Logo screen. I tried to power off and reboot it but it would not power off using the switch and only way to power off was to pull the power jack out the back of the unit. I have processed the return to Amazon and will purchase another one, which I will hopefully have more luck with. I'll try to update the review once I have a new unit that hopefully works and give my opinion on a working one!

Locks up (have to re-boot top restart)
Turned on, played for 20 minutes, turned off. turned back on again...frozen on start screen. Googled...seems to be a known issues (there are videos on YT) maybe with 1.3? Anyway- Returned.

Grate pice of kit... But
The strike pad its self is a awsome bit of kit but unfortunately mine came with a bust Power supply and I'm STILL awaiting a replacement (I got mine on the 31st of May 2023) been having to use a 3rd party one witch has a very short cable so its not ideal. I was in talks with the Alesis suport team but thay closed out my ticked claming my issue was "resulved" while wating on them to send me a replacement power supply.

Being a beginner, I find it easy to learn, operate and edit kits. It's preloaded sounds are amazing and audio quality is excellent. Sometimes the sensitivity of pads is low and some beats are missing, being the only negative I can think of. Will update my review after 3 months again

Excelente pad para tocar en vivo en lugares pequeños, sin necesidad de usar la batería acústica, tiene 4 entradas extras para meter otros pads (uso pads yamaha) muy fácil de programar, lo malo es que no viene con soporte.

I purchased this to use as a more compact solution for adding percussion to my recordings. Although I have since decided a full drum kit is better suited for my setup, I can't say enough good things about this entry from Alesis. Build quality is fantastic. It feels very solid, and yet it's still light enough to be portable. It's easy to use. The large screen makes navigating the menus and creating presets a breeze. If you're looking at this in comparison to the Roland SPD-SX, I consider this a slight step-up at a lower cost. It's much more easy to navigate, and has some cool features and accoutrements that were not included on the much older SPD-SX. The only machine I believe outclasses this is Roland's newer SPD-SX Pro, which is both the highest end and highest priced multipad out there. TL;DR, if you're looking for a really solid, expandable drum multipad system at a good price, look no further.
