LOVED this Book!
I first bought this as a gift for my sister after she had surgery then I had to get one for myself. I loved the book, the stories and great photos. It really cheered me up during these dark days of social distancing and isolation.

Reread Several Times
The book provided insight into the style, furnishings and homes of many of my favorite musicians. I have enjoyed having it on my shelf which has allowed a second and third reading. Strongly recommend.

It's the stories that make this book great
I love this book and am so happy to have it on my bookshelf. I pull it out every now and then to go back over a section even if I have read it before. The ones that stick with me are the section on Keith Richards and the section on the bands of the Sunset Strip in the '80s.On Keith, I just keep looking at the two pictures from opposite ends of his career. The first shows a shell of a man outside his home in England after a fire destroyed most of the interior in 1973. He looks other-worldly. Then the other is a more recent photo of Keith in his library in Connecticut surrounded by the most amazing collection of books and art. If nothing else, he as gained in taste during his life! The Sunset Strip section is great for its stories. There's Motley Crue leaving their apartment with everything damaged, even the ceiling, because they were banging things to get back at the upstairs neighbors for being too loud in expressing their own displeasure with Motley Crue's amount of noise. And there's G&R living in a 160 square-foot room, all of them, together. With their instruments, with their parties, and all that came with it.Get this book. You'll love it and (much like some of the bands) it seems to get even better with time.

Laughably bad
Old pictures, old info, no new access or homes from, say, the last 20-30 years, certainly no real insight or views inside of any ‘rock star homes’, just repurposed old bits and pieces, with 3rd rate black & white photos from old newspapers and magazines from decades ago. I threw my copy in the trash.
