PLEASE READ: Dan Wesson apparently has made a design change in the shroud. Our mount does not fit the new design, we believe that to be 2016 and newer models. Our mount fits on Large and Medium frame Dan Wesson revolvers pre 2016. It will fit on 4" and longer barrel shrouds. 4" use requires removing the front sight blade from the shroud. All barrels over 4" do not require front sight removal. The mount is designed to fit on a 3/8" wide rib with 90 degree to top surface sides. Dan Wesson scope mount, attaches directly to the shroud. We are using the factory suggested hole pattern. It requires drilling and tapping three 6-48 holes. Screws and hole location drawing supplied with every mount. Fits all large and medium frame Dan Wesson Revolvers. Accepts all Weaver style rings and accessories. 4-1/2" long, available in black or silver, matte anodized finish, weighs 1.3 ounces.

Great barrel-mounted solution for Dan Wesson.
Have you ever asked yourself why anyone would mount a scope to the frame of a switch-barrel revolver? I have the original prototype of this mount on one of my 744 barrels. I sent it to Jack Weigand some years ago, and he sent it back pretty quickly. I have a 2.5x Thompson Center scope in it, and it hasn't moved in dozens of barrel switches over the last 10 years or so. Also, there is no interference with the rear sight.
