Klar Water Filter Replacement

My impression of the Klar water filter jug and replacement filters is that it does what it's supposed to. It's always difficult to know for sure with these things if they do what they say because it's not like we have a lab at our disposal to test the water. But what I can say is the taste and clarity of the water is excellent. I have a good feeling about it and cannot taste any chlorine or metallicness. I was drawn to klar due to the fact it filters chlorine, fluoride and tries to eliminate hormones and pfas. I wanted something that could try and get rid of microplastics. The layered filter seems to do it's filtering well. We are never going to eliminate everything. I believe it adds magnesium into the filtered water, which is a huge benefit. You must follow instructions to soak the filter and rinse it several times, filling the jug twice and pouring out, before using. It takes a few times to get rid of the loose charcoal, though this doesn't cause any harm in small amounts (apparently). It's quick and big enough for a small family, you can refill pretty quickly. What I also like is that you don't need to keep it in the fridge, water stays fresh for about 12 hours. I get sensitive teeth sometimes so appreciate that. I feel this filter does a lot more than some other similar jugs. The filter lasts 2 month, but if you start to notice a change in taste, I would change it sooner.I'd say worth the money.

I haven’t drank nasty tap water in over 20 years and in that time have tried quite a few water filter jugs and systems. I like to know that I’m drinking water as fresh and uncontaminated (parasites and fluoride anyone?) as I can and Klar is absolutely amazing. I’ve had friends and family who drink tap water do the ‘taste test’ and every single one has been impressed with the difference as well as finally converting a few to get a filter jug! Ah yes, the jug. Very easy to clean and store and looks pleasing to the eye. Also, this is the first jug I’ve used that I haven’t had leakage issues with so that’s a huge plus point in my book. I know there have been issues with getting hold of the refill cartridges lately and I too struggled, so I reached out to Klar customer services who were great. I love that the cartridges last for two months as well. If you want clean filtered and great tasting water then go for Klar.

This is easy to install in the jug. It filters the water quickly and I like the taste. Make sure you follow the instructions and put the filter under cold running water for 2 minutes. You do not soak this in a bowl.

I have had this filter for almost 2 months (8 days left on the countdown for filter replacement) initially the taste was great the water was the smoothest I've ever drank and there was no chlorinated smell you get with tap water on to a winner with this I thought. However I'm slightly disappointed that by the second week or so I could already taste a decline in the water where to now with 8 days to the filter change its smells and tastes just like tap water. Not sure if it is still doing its job inside the filter but definitely feel I would need to change filters more frequently then every 60 days if I wanted that initial great tasting water. Overall impressed with the product as its saved me money on buying bottles every week and helps me feel as though I'm doing a little something to help the environment with reducing plastic wasteage. But I would be interested to know if the clarity and filtering properties actually really do last as long as stated.

I have used filter water jar for the last 10 years, living in London water doesn't always taste great. Found Klar a year ago during a search for a filter to remove microplastics and metals. This filter is amazing and gives you water with fresh and pure taste - you can detect the difference if you overuse the filter e/g more than 2.5 months and then place new one ,water is actually tasty. There was a shortage of their filters recently for about a month and I could see the quality of the water I drunk decreased greatly as I couldn't change it on time; I contacted their customer support who were wonderful and kept me updated throughout (managed my frustration completely) plus sent me 2 free filters once they were back in stock. So happy to be now again with Klar plus having some back up filters at home as i don't want to be without these filters again!!!

Klar are a wonderful little business that have gone above and beyond with their customer service during this iffy restocking period. The filter itself is perfect, so convenient and easy to use considering it totally remineralises your water and removes fluoride, heavy metals and other evil of evils.Thank you guys for making such a wonderful product, don’t hesitate to buy and to deny evil tap water!
