Excellent mini speaker
I purchased two of these Minx Min 12 speakers as surround along with their bigger cousin, the Minx Min 22, for the front, centre and right speakers. These replaced some very old 10-watt speakers I had on my home theatre setup: a Pioneer VSX-921 AV receiver and a Yamaha 8-inch subwoofer.I thought my previous setup sounded good, but what an improvement these are. The sound experience is truly immersive. For small speakers coupled with a subwoofer, they are imposing.I bought these because I wanted conspicuous speakers that produce good sound. You do not notice them as they blend in with the living room furniture, but when listening to a movie, you notice the sound they produce. Almost as if the sound is not emanating from anywhere. I am pleased with these Cambridge Audio speakers. Similar-sized and quality speakers on the market are much more expensive.

Awesome Little Speakers
I bought a pair of these as surround sound speakers for my Denon AV amp. I had heard of Cambridge Audio and new they made good kit but most was out of my price range, but needing small speakers these fit the ticket and were very reasonably priced. The quality and sound is superb for the role I'm using them for, they are almost inconspicuous but punch way above their side. I teamed them with the stands, which I got from the CA website direct and they look very cool. I also bought their larger relation as a centre speaker and equally pleased. For the money and function I am using them for they are awesome, and I'd guess they make great little speakers generally too. Can't recommend enough.

Good quality small speakers.
I bought two to replace large stereo speakers on my Sony music centre. The sound is very good. The speakers are good quality and well made.

All Things Considered
A mini marvel of sound and form. Sound quality is good when all things considered.

Expensive novelty, musically uninteresting and performance is poor
For the price paid these are a cosmetic novelty, they are small cute speakers which don't catch much attention, which is a plus. But sadly they do not, and can not deliver a bold sound and are really best suited for quiet ambient music, background music, or as rears for a very small home theatre system. They just don't have the reach to be musically interesting, I played around with them at length to try and squeeze more out of them, as I don't need them to be loud I figured I could just bump the mid frequencies a little and feed them a bit more power, sadly they just don't have the finesse. Similarly, just being ambitious and setting the crossover fairly high and letting them sing leads to a bit of a mess, they can go loud, but there's no midrange at all, so these are just all hiss and no bark and just sound feeble compared to almost anything.I'm sure you'd get a better sound if you grabbed one of the Minx subs, but I don't like the idea of a subwoofer filling in midrange frequencies for satellites. Given that I have bluetooth speakers no larger than a Minx 12 that outclass it both in bass extension, volume, utility, it's honestly hard to recommend this.

Small miracles
Very nice design affordable, even if only one speaker (did not come in pairs), but still amazing I have six of these.

Little speakers with a big punch
Even though they are small speakers they pack a punch, the clarity is good and powerful enough for a living room, you do need a separate bass speaker though
