OK: I have been waiting to see how well this held up before I put in a review. I got this March '18 so we've been sleeping on it for about 4 months. We weigh about 183 lbs and 265 lbs (me and my husband). From the time we opened the package and started using it, there was no odor. It has an odd texture so you're not going to want to sleep on it bare. On the other hand, your sheets will stay in place. I have severe osteoarthritis, fibromyalgia, sciatica, bursitis of hips, torn rotator cuff, etc, so I needed something. I had actually had 2 sleep studies that showed I moved constantly in my sleep (turning back and forth) very restlessly- I had already told them I was in terrible pain and woke up all during the night trying to get comfortable. I would even go sleep in a recliner at times I was so miserable.So I tried the gel topper and: I'm not saying it was a miracle, but I AM SLEEPING finally. I'm still in pain because there is no miracle cure but this topper eases my aches so I can go to sleep like sinking into a baby cloud.I spent weeks researching reviews and statistics on mattresses, toppers, etc, before I went with this one.If you're undecided, and reading thru reviews like I did, give this one a try. I am so glad I picked this one.

I have had this gel topper for more than a month now and I love it! Unlike some of the reviewers of this product, I purchased it specifically for the cooling properties and not to modify the feel of my mattress. My mattress was not the issue. I am in my mid 50's and I sleep HOT! I would wake up multiple times a night with hot flashes. I may in fact be the cause of global warming I sleep so hot. Using moisture wicking sheets and clothing kept me, my clothing and the sheets from being drenched in sweat, but did nothing to stop the hot flashes in the first place. Needless to say, I wasn't getting good, restful sleep. I have waited to review the gel topper because here in the Northeast it has been an exceptionally cool and wet spring. However, now that we are in the midst of the 2nd heat wave of the season I can state without hesitation that this gel topper keeps me cool. I now sleep through the night without being woken by hot flashes at all. Now for those of you who are not used to sleeping on a foam mattress, it did take me a few days to get used to the sensation of it conforming to my body especially since as a back sleeper I like a firm mattress, but by the 3rd night it no longer felt weird to have the heels of my feet sinking into the foam. I also found that I needed to replace my pillows with gel memory foam pillows since my head was not sinking into my regular pillow sufficiently. The mattress is exactly as described with swirls of the cooling gel in various concentrations on the topper. I picked the most concentrated portion for my side of the bed and look forward to sleeping on it for years to come. If only I bought this sooner. I paid full price for the gel topper and have received nothing in return for my review.

I have been using memory foam toppers for years. They can retain heat and become uncomfortably hot. This is by far THE BEST I have tried. Slept on it for the 1st time last night. Much much cooler than other brands. I hope it remains this way; had the best night sleep in awhile. Didn't notice any chemical smell at all. I did let it sit for 24hrs. Also really like not only is this made in USA but they give back to communities via donations to orphanages and shelters. Who knew?Will be buying another for our guest bedroom

I've had a latex mattress most of my life. So when I started getting back pains when I wake up I did some research on how to eleviate it. Buying a new mattress was not an option but rejuvenating my mattress was. I bought another memory foam topper (review to come) here on amazon which was horrible. Pain was getting worse so i decided to give memory foam another chance. Ordered this with amazon prime and received it in 2 days. Not even waiting for 24 hours for it to acclimate to my home I put it under my sheet the same day it arrived. I've had it for a week and most of the pain is gone. I still wake up a little stiff, maybe because I'm 72 years old, but no more severe pain. This is a firm memory foam but being only 2 inches thick does not have that " stuck in the mud" sensation. I highly recommend this to everyone who wants to add comfort and pain relief to their existing mattress. I did not receive any compensation for this review.

OMG!! LOVE this thing!!! I have so much horrible joint and bone pain for years and nothing worked. Tried all kinds of toppers: feathers, eggcrate, foams and while they made bed a bit softer, none of them ever helped me sleep this good and wake up without all the pain and stiffness I've suffered from for 20+ years. First night I slept on this thing, I slept 5 hours straight without waking (which is a MIRACLE for someone who suffers from pain induced insomnia. I've never slept more than 20-30 mins without waking, tossing and turning for over two decades). I wrapped this in a zipper case to keep it clean and have not felt sweaty or hot at night. I hope it holds up overtime. But for right now I'm loving this thing, THE BEST thing I've bought for ME and my Health on Amazon. Arrived Super Fast too! Thank YOU!! This topper is squishy it totally hits the bottom of what it is on. I bought a to firm memory foam mattress that hurt my pressure points. I needed a topper to help pressure points. This topper stated it would do that plus keep you cool. After 30 min. the topper starts heating up and makes you hotter than not having a topper at all. Amazon did allow me to return it and I got my refund promptly.

I was torn between this and a 4" topper like one I've had in the past but settled on this and so happy I did. Far exceeds past experience and is a dream to sleep on. I have some disability from severe injury and am now able to sleep on my side for the first time in six years which speaks volumes for me. I highly recommend this product and received NO discounts or anything free so this review is from the heart (and back and hip and shoulder and head :). Don't hesitate based on the 2" thickness, it provides a wonderful nights sleep.
