Weaver Leather Diamond Braid Rope Halter and Lead

Got it because my old one was a bit too loose. This one is nice and snug but could certainly be a size smaller for better control. I normally hate buying new halters because they stretch and then stop fitting well but that hasn't happened with this one which is amazing. The color is nice, and I don't really regret not having reflective strips in the fabric as this is only used for working anyway nothing long term. The metal clamp on the end has also held up surprisingly.

This halter and lead are sturdy, well-made, and exactly what I expect from Weaver. Their quality is always reliable. The price on Amazon was actually cheaper than buying directly from Weaver’s site, so it was a great deal too. I feel confident using this on my horse knowing it will hold up. Weaver is the best for durability.

Very well made, strong rope that is soft and pliable. Knotted, so it is appropriately adjustable. The lead rope is nothing fancy, standard nylon. I may add a metal clip to it for ease of use. If you like stiff rope this is not it!

Very pretty halter (I got the burgundy with gold for my Palomino), however, it’s very large for a standard sized horse so after you knot it closed, there’s quite a bit of excess rope hanging down loose along the throat latch. Also, the 10 foot lead rope is not as stiff and heavy as a normal training rope should be. It’s more of a soft floppy nylon lead rope, so the rope isn’t as robust as I would like for groundwork training purposes , but I’ll probably still keep it. The 2 Main reasons I’m not giving it 5 stars are 1) partly because of the excess rope below the closing knot (they should probably have a different size for draft horses, so that with a standard horse, there isn’t so much excess hanging rope left over), and 2) the too-soft, floppy training rope.

My go-to for 1 on 1 groundwork tune ups or sessions, fits different sized horses from my 13.3 mare, 14.3 gelding, and 17 mare. Adjustments I didn’t need to make can be made. Rests on pressure points, doesn’t rub, thicker than usual rope halters but in a good way. Good quality. Easy to use, checks all boxes. Will add photo when I have time.

This is great! Color is beautiful. Price is good and the rope is soft and supple. The nose notches do not move.

Wish the road was stiffer but other than that, this works great! Color matches the picture. The way the lead is finished off is well done. My friend has one from a different maker and the things on the end of the ropes all came off. This has nice solid metal ones.

This halter really doesn’t fit my 17h warmblood’s head properly. I can get it tied, but the rope piece that goes under the jaw and connects the noseband to the throat latch is too short. So instead of the throat latch sitting comfortably behind his jaw, it lays on top and pinches it. The nose and also has to sit really high up on his nose for me to get the halter tied. I’m keeping it on hand as a backup halter in case my main one breaks, but I would not use this halter everyday for the poor fit. Quality seems to be okay. But it’s a softer material, so not sure how long it will last compared to the stiffer rope halters I’m accustomed to.

Great quality. Rope is a bit thicker than the Pirelli halters. Lovely and soft, great colours. Also comes up quite big. Would fit XF easily.

I LOVE this!! The colour is perfect on my horses - and is supper convient when working with them- I don't always need to run back to the barn to switch halters - I can just go from one horse to the next - and the lead rope is comfortably long but I'm personally not a big fan of using it to lunge - I like having a bit more room but other then that shipping took less then a week ! Very pleased with this !!!
