Perfect!
I have try to bake bread and make a pizza with all purpose flour and the taste is bitter. I tried bread flour and the taste was different and so much better. I baked a pizza dough and dinner rolls. So grateful as a mom on a budget. We won’t be ordering pizza. I made my son a bacon and pepperoni pizza with mozzarella cheese. He was so happy.

So happy I found this bread flour, a new pantry staple for me
For the most part I bake the breads we eat at home instead of buying store-bought and have more flours in my freezer than I care to admit. I'll get one flour for one type of bread, another for a different bread, one for pizza, etc. So one day I couldn't find my favorite brand of bread flour and was ready to spend too much on an alternative when I stumbled on Gold Medal bread flour when shopping on Amazon and decided to give it a try. I am SO happy I did because for my bread-baking purposes this flour does as nice of a job as my regular brand at a nice little savings too. I like to consistently buy the same brands of flours because I get used to how those flours perform for me, giving me more consistent baking results, which is why I was kind of sad when I couldn't find my regular brand of bread flour anywhere and decided to try this one. I honestly didn't even know that Gold Medal made a bread flour, never saw it in any of my stores, and wasn't sure what to expect before trying it since I've bought flours before that looked like something I would love but I didn't get the results with them that I wanted. With this one I got the results I wanted and am a happy camper, or I guess happy baker, knowing I can get this alternate bread flour quickly when I need it and at a good price too. In fact, I've been using this Gold Medal flour more regularly recently than my "regular" brand, so maybe I have two regulars now. For the types of breads I make for myself and my family, this definitely will become a staple. I don't know how it will do in a sourdough because I haven't made a sourdough with it yet, but for sandwich loaves, rolls, and things like that I think it's definitely worth giving a try. I'm glad I did.

Its like I wanted to Know what A Sour Apple didn't know about Candy
The first time I opened the package I was delighted about the flour. The color presentation of the paper around the flour makes for an eye popping square. In addition, I thought the aroma of the flour was perfect. It was like it was just milled today. The delivery of the fine texture to the board was amazing. I mashed the flour to the countertop. It was great proof for the next day. The bread was kneed first. The rest was a simple as the rise making for a few cuts. The oven made the bread airy but not too hard. The time in the oven wasn't bad either. For example, I went to the store to buy a loaf. It didn't have a good presentation on the shelf. The bread also was too gummy. The bag was ripped a little but the stretch didn't let a whole show through. The cost was 3.99 for the cheapest bread. I made bread for pennies on the dollar. The best part it was that my wife made it, lol. I am writing this to tell you that the taste was as good as advertised. We had the bread for our communications class for understanding product delivery and marketing. The paper that I wrote got me an A so I really appreciated Gold Medal helping me with the class, hungry pains, and all the proper alignment of my belly. The amount of money paid for an online class never out weights a good flour. If I could only get rid of the wait time!

Good bread flour at a decent price but it's not a box.
If you're expecting a box like the picture you're out of luck you're going to get a 5 pound bag. If that doesn't bother you, this is good bread flour at a good price. Not quite as good as KA it seems but it certainly does daily bread and biscuits just fine. For under a dollar a pound shipped to my rural front door, it's a winner. Here's a bread machine milk bread/roll/bun recipe I use at least 3x a week with this flour at the moment. 4 cups flour, leveled 1/2 packet yeast (1.5 tablespoons) 2 tablespoons butter, margarine or lard 3 tablespoons sugar (more for sweet rolls, up to 1/4 cup) 1 cup room temperature milk or cream 1 teaspoon salt Add ingredients in order recommended by your bread machine. Set to dough and let rise. Punch down, roll out into desired shape such as mini dinner rolls, hamburger buns or even braided bread. Cover with a damp tea towel or linen and allow to rise again, for 30 minutes to 2 hours depending on your climate and desired proof. Bake 8-12 minutes at 330 in a convection oven or 350 for 10-15 in a regular oven. Enjoy. Great for milk and cream just starting to turn, or near the date and it weirds you out. The yeast use the milk sugars, so it's safe. Plus you know, it gets baked. With a little salt and warm butter they are amazing. Dip the dough in baking soda water before baking for a "mall pretzel" like taste.

Have a bread machine? Look no further!
This works great for my bread machine. All purpose flour would probably work but this is much better. It has been consistent each batch that I have made. So far I have just done basic bread to get a feel for the machine, but now I plan to use it for sour dough and other types of bread or dough (pizza dough!). I am a repeat customer for this product.

So far so good
My bag came ripped and torn but Amazon sent me a replacement without issues so I am very pleased about that, I am making sourdough bread and got a good deal. So far so good in the bread making process, has a nice stretch. Some of the comments did make me worry about the protein content however.

No complaints
I bought this one because Amazon was out of their double pack flour.
