I took me a while to get used to using it because I was expecting it to work like the inexpensive ones you get at the supermarket or hardware store. Those have a regular flame like on a match. This one has a powerful flame smaller than but similar to a blowtorch. I needed to ask some questions here about how to use it. I was impressed that the seller was eager to help. I've learned that if you want to relight votive candles, you need to first get the flame end of the lighter right over the wick before igniting. Once you get used to it, it will speed lighting time if you are lighting several votives.. It is very efficient for lighting oil lamps. It is a very handsome lighter and very comfortable. The ignition more comfortable than any other butane lighter I have used. It comes in a nice presentation box, if you're planning it as a gift.

Worked great for about 2 tries, then it didn't seem to mater what I did. I kept trying to add butane, but still nothing. Would be great if there was a way to tell if the butane was actually going in. Most refillable lighters have a window for that, but there's nothing on this one.

This is a good lighter. It was a little bit bigger than I expected, but works as advertised and is easy to fill and use. I gave 4 stars instead of 5 only because I didn't see anything over the top exceptional, however it is a good product. There is one thing you can do if your flame adjustment isn't where you want it to be. The black plastic cap with the folding handle, to adjust the flame, does pull straight out and has it's own rotation stops on it. After you remove it, you'll see an adjustment as you would on any other refillable lighter. Once you have the range adjusted where you want, just push the plastic cap back over the port.

Doesn't work well, have to click a few times and I have to constantly fill it with butane. Doesn't work at odd angles either. For the price i thought the wualirt would be better.

After using the torch lighter for about a month I am finally ready to give this product a review.At first, I saw two or three competitors selling the same/similar products but I decided to go with this seller because they are based in the US.This was my first butane lighter so I had a lot of questions when I got the product. I contacted the seller and was provided with email instructions and a contact number.I've noticed if you are holding the lighter at a very steep downward facing angle it might not ignite. I recommend turning the neck and holding the lighter as upright as possible. Another method is to ignite firmly and then slowly move it to a steeper angle so the flame doesn't go out. (Kind of troublesome)Overall, I really enjoyed this product compared to the traditional lighters that I have used. I give this product a 9/10! (1 star off for not being able to tell how much butane is left)

The ignition button is faulty. It will not disperse the butane all the time and when it does and is lit, it will stop working promptly before I can light a candle. I have to fiddle with the ignition button before it will work - even then it is problematic.Edit: It is full of butane, but the flame will not stay on for less than a second. Cheaply made and I would suggest avoiding this Jet Flame. You will not be able to light a candle.

This a constructed well, and cool sleek design...But I cannot stand when companies do cheap things to nickle and dime their customers....It shows lack of respect. It's like buying a TV...but they don't include batteries on the remote. Like wtf, you can't just do that for someone that is supporting you...Sorry for the rant, but they do not include any butane refill, like hell even a 1oz can would be SOMETHING...but nope. completely bone dry. I should return this just on principal, but I'll just buy a butane can while i'm at home depot. But seriously, what if I wanted to use it right away? This is why I give it 2 stars...5 stars for product, 0 stars for customer respect!

Just what I was hoping for! The cheaper throw-away brands require a difficult hand action, requiring doing two hand movements at the same time, plus they do not stay lit very well.We use this for lighting our wood stove (our main heat source), and for lighting pilot lights for propane heaters. The flexible wand is a huge help with pilot lights, plus the lighter stays burning beautifully allowing time to evenly light a wood fire. No more having to relight the cheap models several times!It IS awkward to fill, and the safety button is stiff to move, but the plus side far outweighs those features.
