I enjoyed everything about this book the writing was brilliant and the characters so layered. Even near the end I was held in an uneasy suspense. This book had me gripped and I just had so much fun reading it

The sequel is better
Fall in love with the characters from first book and jump on the second book asap. I think I read it in two days. Or three. So good, cried lots.

This book was beautiful to read. I don’t often read fantasy but I flew through this book. Perfect mix of fantasy & romance.

Amazing fantasy
✨ 4.5/5 ✨Dance of Thieves is a lush YA fantasy full of danger, romance, and intrigue. Kazi and Jase’s enemies-to-lovers tension had me hooked from the very first clash—their chemistry is unforgettable. 💕The worldbuilding is rich, the twists keep you guessing, and the emotional depth makes it more than just a fantasy romance. A beautifully written adventure that lingers long after the final page. 🌙✨

It felt a little flat
The book itself, the premise, the idea sounded amazing! And I had high hopes. While I liked the characters, their stories and the general storyline I felt that it fell a little flat.Never at any point did I really care a lot about the characters. I liked them but, it’s hard to explain, not that much?I sometimes felt the author spent too much time on lore and for you to have read other books of hers in the same universe (which I only found ont after) that for the first 200 pages I couldn’t imagine what the world looked like.If I’m honest, I still don’t, I hoped to find images and fan art but no such luck. And then where a lot of detail was used to explain more the characters kind of…well their backstory felt flat. For instance, Yes we get kazi being through hardships and unspeakable odds - but…her reactions when she confessed them to jase felt…shallow. All this time she kept it quiet and when she finally does share it’s done in two pages and …that’s it. All this build of emotion felt anti climactic. The love story which I looked forward to, felt like it was just a day one thing. Enjoyable, yes, but I felt like I wasn’t a hooked. But that’s personal preference. So while the whole story is def enjoyable - i doubt I’ll be reading it again.
