Great case, great protection, not slippery
I read like all reviews, usually focusing on the bad ones, so I had some apprehension to buy this case for a couple reasons. First of all, my previous case (purchased from a mall) had very good grip by virtue of some rubber on the edges that was positioned such that your hand pretty much had no chance of slipping. This case (Spigen) was cited as being a bit slippery by several reviewers, and I didn't want to lose a nice grippy case. In reality, this case is simply not slippery. Yes, my other case had more grip areas, but this thing isn't like you are holding banana peels in your hands. The texture is nice, and there is plenty of resistance to slipping. My other big fear was the buttons. This one I would say is based is a little subjective as far as how much you like the way they function, but in reality, they work very well. My previous phone had buttons that were raised on the case so you could actually feel each one. I liked that. This one has buttons that are flush with the side of the case - you can't really feel very that you are pressing them. But once you get the feel of this case, it's not a problem to locate and use the buttons. I actually like the power button better than on my previous case - you can't feel that it is being pressed, but it responds well, actually with less effort than my old case. The volume takes more getting used to, but I have adjusted to sliding my finger from the top so I can feel were they are using the gap for the mute switch. It looks nice on my phone, fits great over the screen protector (no problems at all), holes on the bottom for headphones, charger and speaker are adequate. And (bonus) my son even stopped complaining about how old my phone was since this makes it look new. Buy without fear. I've had it a few weeks now and have no regrets.

Beautiful, awesome, and the best case!
Had it not been for my father-in-law promoting this case, I would have never known about it. Previously, I used the Otterbox Defender. While the Otterbox was very protective, it was also very bulky. At first I didn't mind... but after seeing other slim cases, I wanted to go back to the natural slim design of my iPhone. Besides that, the belt clip I had with the Otterbox just got in the way of things no matter where I placed it. In any case, I don't know how I missed the Spigen initially, but I researched slim cases for a time. When I finally saw the one that my father-in-law used, it sealed the deal.My impressions of the Spigen so far (I've had it for a number of months now):-- while it is a slim case, it still maintains some layer of protection; you can't throw it against the wall full force, of course, but it does offer a bit of protection-- laying face down, the iPhone screen does not touch the desk/floor/etc-- it offers a little bit of variety as you can change the back-plate-- even though the back-plate seems like the 'glossy' type, finger prints/oils will come off easily (I just use my pants or shirts to rub the plate)-- all of the ports/holes in the Spigen are perfect; I've never had any issues connecting cables, chargers, etc-- my only annoyance, is with the power button at the top; it doesn't seem to register 100% so I'll sometimes have to press it more than once (not enough to take away a star, for me)-- if I could add one thing: it would be a built-in screen protector or at least provide one that you could apply, with the caseOverall, I love this case. It keeps to the slim design of the iPhone while offering a little bit of protection. I've dropped the phone a few times now, and there aren't any dents or permanent smudges in the case. It also feels very sturdy, which is reassuring for me because I tend to bump my phone or occasionally drop it.I would definitely recommend this case over the Otterbox.

Excellent product!
This case is fantastic. I really prefer to use my phone without a case, but, since I have a 2 year old, that's not realistic. I needed a case that was much more protective and sturdy, since my phone takes a lot of abuse. This case fits the bill perfectly. I have the black case with black shell (plate?). It arrived quickly -but I do have Prime. Putting it on was fairly easy. I mean, you have to tug a little bit to get it on the last edge, but that's a good thing.I've had to take it off once, which was easy without being too easy as well. The case definitely doesn't move around on the phone. It stays put. I've had it nearly 3 months, and it hasn't started loosening up a bit. (Which is a problem I had even with Otterbox; the rubber would start to come loose and slip off easily. I didn't want that.)I've seen some reviews that say their colored plate got scratched up quickly. I haven't had this issue at all. Maybe it's just the black, but mine still looks like new- which is a big feat considering how much abuse it takes. The case seems very protective, yet it's not bulky at all. Yes, it's going to add a bit of size to the phone, but not nearly as much as an Otterbox or Lifeproof case will. It easily slides in my pocket, purse, or diaper bag. It's not too slick though, it is definitely grippy enough to stay put on a leather couch armrest. Also, the case makes the lock/power and volume buttons easier to push. I've never had an issue getting to the silent switch either, despite what other reviewers have said. I thought maybe it might be an issue for a man with large fingers, but my husband has messed with it, and he didn't have issues either.I've had a ridiculous amount of phone cases. This is by far my favorite.
