Good monitor. Good price. A box of surprises.
Brightness range is limited to extremely bright down to regular brightness. There is no going to lower brightness levels. There is no contrast adjustment. The front bezel is made of metal and the paint job is not smooth, it has the "orange peel" texture to it.The back is also metal and white. The stand is strong and has all the adjustments expected from a good base. Height, tilt, rotation and pivot. Although when turned to portrait it will not turn perfect 90 degrees, it is more like 89 degrees.Only DVI in.Nice glossy screen. The very bottom left corner seems to have a darker haze, but it's only noticeable and difficult to detect in white screens. No other technical issues detected. The image quality is great.

This monitor was Fantastic for about a week
This monitor was Fantastic for about a week, and then it died. trying to return it was a nightmare. I took many pictures, and told the company that I tried it in both GPU ports, a different GPU, and even a completely different computer. They responded by asking me if I tried plugging it into a different port on my GPU, and then demanded that I record a video of it messing up, and post it on youtube for them to see. They then wanted to send me a replacement board for the monitor and have me repair it myself. After filing a claim with Amazon, they FINALLY seemed willing to work with me, and I eventually returned it to them.TL;DR You get what you pay for. If you want a good 1440p monitor, go with ASUS.

Great picture when it works but will not work with ...
Had all sorts of video card issues. Great picture when it works but will not work with some Gforce video cards. Basically a lot of good features and a lot of bad on making the display works. Once the hassle is over I have enjoyed it though.

4-5 star for $- BUT only if following important to you:Full featured stand/glossy screen/Vibrant image/build quality/appearance
Excellent in it's category: 60HZ and "older" IPS panel tech: LG Display S-IPS FHD. Stand and build quality are top notch. Sexy beast best for Video card controlled imagery only. This model- with the stand (designated by the "P" after LED-P in the name) has a glossy type screen surface- via it's plasma coating. What this really means is that it is one of the rare monitors that doesn't have a "Matte" effect/coating to lower reflections on the screen.Positives: Personally- I find that I prefer the perceived extra clarity and vibrancy versus other Korean Import 2560x1440 monitors with "Matte" screen coatings - especially when viewing white backgrounds and text.Negatives: Eye blasting brightness if not set to lower ...eh- brightness. Glare/reflections from any and all light sources. Can cause headaches or eyestrain if not properly calibrated or at least the brightness lowered -or if you are susceptible to such. Price vs. models w/ lower quality stands, casings and "Matte" screens. Worth It? To me- Yes. Why?- Glossy screens are hard to find on IPS monitors- Achieva Shimian has a model w/ glossy screen I think.IN COMPARISON TO: Qnix 2710 evo iiNotes:Why Compare? -Because these two models were popular choices for many people. They were for me- and I bought both.I have owned 2 of the Crossovers and 2 Qnix's. Back light bleed was the only noticeable variance among panels per each monitor I bought. You roll the dice on that. Otherwise - my personal observations remained the same for each model. Only 1 stuck pixel group among all 4.All monitors used in moderately bright environment by day- and low light by night. Qnix has newer panel tech: AU Optronics AHVA panel. These have a light to moderate "matte" coating on the screen.Positives: Brightness is easier on the eyes out of the box. Lite to moderate glare/ reflections at worst. A slight perceived increase in fine/subtle details and color depth/saturation. Can Overclock to 120 HZ on avg. I found best trade off on image, colors, motion and Gamma at 95/96HZ. If you have the GPU to run at 96HZ- you WILL see a difference in motion smoothness- not just in gaming, but even when moving windows around on your screen during work etc. Hard to go back to 60 HZ in that respect.Negatives: Small to (almost) moderate loss of text clarity, color vibrancy and "Whites" appear slightly less pure. *Frame/housing and stand are all of noticeable lower quality- you are paying for the panel. ( This aspect isn't a completely fair comparison- as the Crossover 27Q "LED-P" is the high end stand/casing version. I never bought the model in the fixed stand version "LED". I never found or bought Qnix 2710 in a version with fancy stand.)Comparison Subjective Summary: I really love the clear and vibrant image on the Crossover, the build quality and range of motion on stand are sexy as heck. I really love the smoothness of the Qnix when running at 96 HZ. Winner? Impossible/subjective call. If I could find either panel with a plasma coating glossy screen that runs @ 120 HZ I'd buy that in a heart beat. Throw in Gsync (if it ever comes to IPS panels) and it would be game over for outdoor life.

Amazing 27" Ultra HD Monitor for proffessionals
This monitor will blow your mind. Two cons are N# 1- It has only one dual link DVI connector and provided cable for it, N# 2- the portrait mode is not perfectly a 90 degree angle you really have to push it for it to stay that way. But if you are like me and want the best looking monitor in the highest possible resolution available 2550 x 1440p at 27"ultra HD with no temper glass, and at a great price, then this is the perfect monitor for you. got some 4 stuck pixels but the only way to notice them was to run a app call pixel budy, setting multiple color run setup and to be totally honest i hate stuck or burn pixelsbut this monitor has such high pixel density that you really can't notice those pixels unless you really look for them in a program to find them, because literally they become invisible once you are staring at the screen. and i have lessens providing me 20/20 vision.I work in 3D modelling, Computer Animation, illustration, movie editing and VFX's industry using programs such as Maya, Photoshop cs5, After Effects, 3D's max, Corel Painter, Autodesk Sketch book pro.and this monitor after color calibration will run all with accuracy and full color reproduction. Best monitor I 've ever own. and I am coming from using mac monitors and Dell ultra sharp series.I highly recommended to anyone that need a great monitor but doesn't want to spent $999

Cheap but poor reliability
The image quality of this monitor is absolutely on par with the Apple displays. And it should be, it uses the same tube. However, after four months of use the monitor turns on, then immediately shuts itself off. I am guessing that some internal power supply is failing. In any case, I now have $400 paperweight. I would have been better off buying a Dell.
