I took the cap off and put the white replacement in and then put the cap back on. I put it back in the pot, but nothing happened. I even put it in water and still nothing.  I don't know why the smaller ones can be replaced but not the bigger ones. Anyway, i threw them away and will now order 2 more new small ones.
