It’s not a 1:1 ratio with the chapters in the book, so it wouldn’t be super easy to go through them at the same time. The book has 7 chapters, while the study guide is set up so you go through it over 13 weeks or sessions. The study guide restated the main points of the book, but it also had specific questions for me to work through, making me evaluate my particular issues in a more personal way. I don’t think you need both. If I had to pick one or the other, I would definitely recommend the study guide. I felt that it was more helpful and got me thinking more deeply about the situations I needed to work through.
