Love it. Tough, but lots of fun.
Really tough to use, but also pretty darn fun. It's also a pretty good workout. I'm sweating and exhausted after 10 - 15 minutes. There is a fairly steep learning curve to it, and you will not be riding it like Wingnut does on the first day you receive it. You need to be sure to buy the mat they suggest or have a carpeted area to use it on.

Therapuetic, aesthetically pleasing and super fun!
I got this because I have always wanted to surf, having been a life-long so cal girl, but I have severe spinal issues stemming from an old volleyball injury and so I thought this would be a good way to have some fun physical therapy and ease into surfing one day. I've never surfed, but I've done ocean swimming, and I do like how the motion riding it reminds me of waves. (I mean it's not the real thing but it's closer than when I rode my friend's indo board.) I really debated over all the different boards out there, and I'm super pleased with the choice I made :) Would definitely recommend to anyone else who wants to learn how to surf or just have a fun way to do physical therapy to strengthen after an injury. This is also very aesthetically pleasing- neutral-colored but made of quality materials, looks even better in person- and so I actually leave it out to be seen instead of putting it away as I had planned. I just got it yesterday and have already used it twice. It's tons of fun.

I recommended it to a friend and she said the same ...
I bought my husband the Goof Board Axis for his birthday in October. We goofed around for a a few weeks and then went surfing. OMG. I can not tell you how much this board helped our surfing. I recommended it to a friend and she said the same thing. It's like my feet are better stuck to my surf board now. I have more control and thus more confidence. Within 2 months I was surfing bigger waves and making turns more consistently. We like the Axis so much that for Christmas, we bought ourselves the Classic as well. I can not recommend the Goof Boards enough. If you're looking to improve your surfing when you can't be in the water, this is it!

Awesom Surf Trainer!
This thing is just what I was looking for. I'm a surfer who wants to shorten the learning curve of stylish cross stepping to the nose. After just one session on the GoofBoard, there's no doubt that I've made the right purchase. It's made well with durable & high quality materials. Both the board & roller appear to have been designed to endure years of use.I've use other "surf" balance simulators and also made a few, from my experience, none come close to this one. Being that the Goofboard appears to have been the original product employing rail to rail balance & improving cross stepping technique, I was not interested in similar boards that have now jumped on this design. If you're looking to work on your cross stepping technique or a beginner just starting out, this one's for you.

It's Not Easy, But Once You Get It You're Gonna Love It!
It's a challenge to get started with this surf trainer, but watch the GoofBoard videos on YouTube, take the advice and you'll be balancing pretty steady in a short period of time. Best advice, practice at least twice a day to get your proprioception going.

Love it!
This is a really fun product, I do recommend however that you try to keep your stance like you would on a regular surfboard instead of trying to use the stance suggested by the manufacturer, otherwise you might develop some bad habits. Great if you're like me, stuck indoors all winter long in the East Coast.

I’m obsessed
So when everyone mentioned a “learning curve,” I didn’t realize what they meant until I tried the roller. I find that graduating from the U blocks on carpet to hardwood or hard floor is a nice middle step to prep you for the roller a little better. My balance and posture have both improved, my butt looks great, and I’m having a blast. It’s great for focusing and building my strength from my back and core to the tips of my toes. And the design is absolutely gorgeous. The picture doesn’t do the tulips justice. I love this thing.

Super fun!
My kids (8 & 5) really enjoy balancing on the board-using the U locks, and I find that it's really easy to switch out this feature so that I can balance with the roll. I've been having a great time practicing in between the couch (soft place to land when I lose my balance) and a chair (sturdy support)... I haven't worked up the courage to practice without the training wheels... In any case, I'm really getting a lot of use from this board. When I'm finished using it, I just slide the board and roll under the couch.
